I had 8 pm reservations on December 28th for two. After long flight from US and transportation challenges in Paris, we walked to get to restaurant almost 2 hours. I called to request some assistance as we got close for directions. The staff person left the phone to never return and the phone, after long period, was hung up. We continued to try to locate restaurant, and called a second time. A very rude, abrupt staff person offered no assistance, saying he was not from Paris and no one could assist us in locating the restaurant. This restaurant was recommended to us and I can assure you I will NOT recommend it. I’m a travel agent on site visits and will tell clients to avoid for the rude, arrogant staff. We decided if they were that rude, we would eat elsewhere, and take our business to people with politeness!!!

This is a really nice place in a fashionable part of Paris. We were welcomed and seated promptly. Excellent wine selection. We had the duck filet and the Chateaubriand. Both were done perfectly. The deserts were lovely too. We would highly recommend.

Nice ambiance, comfortable, with friendly pro staff. Good sélection of wine. Reasonable price. My confit de canard was a liitle bit dry, some sauce would be perfect. Otherwise, i reccommend this bistrot!

Was a nice experience in Paris to discover Le Bouledogue. Everyone very friendly and helpful (was a heavy rainy day), no pressure to consume, very polite and the place very careful decorated, with a very personal stamp.

A very nice, small, and relatively quiet Brasserie. My wife and I both had the chateaubriand, which was delicious. On the down side, we had to wait a long time for service...30 minutes before we were even offered a drink.

We spent a week in France snd we stumbled upon this because of Fork. I literally joined to leave this review. Best bernaise sauce I’ve had and the main steak is delicious. the appetizers were excellent. Not too expensive. The best meal we had all week.

We’ve visited Le Bouledogue repeatedly over the last few years and always enjoy the food. That said, I’m sick of being shown to the worst table in the entire restaurant time after time. It usually happens after they’ve identified us as English speakers and is often accompanied by the presentation of an English menu. I speak French perfectly well, own a second home in Paris, and know better than to have to take a table by the kitchen door for the third time in a row! It’s really a shame, because otherwise the service and food is quite good. We’ll go back, but the next time I’ll raise holy hell if I’m shown to that table by the kitchen!

About the restaurant
