I had 8 pm reservations on December 28th for two. After long flight from US and transportation challenges in Paris, we walked to get to restaurant almost 2 hours. I called to request some assistance as we got close for directions. The staff person left the phone to never return and the phone, after long period, was hung up. We continued to try to locate restaurant, and called a second time. A very rude, abrupt staff person offered no assistance, saying he was not from Paris and no one could assist us in locating the restaurant. This restaurant was recommended to us and I can assure you I will NOT recommend it. I’m a travel agent on site visits and will tell clients to avoid for the rude, arrogant staff. We decided if they were that rude, we would eat elsewhere, and take our business to people with politeness!!!
A very good neighborhood restaurant!
This is a really nice place in a fashionable part of Paris. We were welcomed and seated promptly. Excellent wine selection. We had the duck filet and the Chateaubriand. Both were done perfectly. The deserts were lovely too. We would highly recommend.
Nice ambiance, comfortable, with friendly pro staff. Good sélection of wine. Reasonable price. My confit de canard was a liitle bit dry, some sauce would be perfect. Otherwise, i reccommend this bistrot!
Was a nice experience in Paris to discover Le Bouledogue. Everyone very friendly and helpful (was a heavy rainy day), no pressure to consume, very polite and the place very careful decorated, with a very personal stamp.
Charming atmosphere, great service, superb food! Bravo!!
This restaurant is just fantastic: :)Lovely meal and nice staff. The interior is more than inviting and the service is excellent.
A very nice, small, and relatively quiet Brasserie. My wife and I both had the chateaubriand, which was delicious. On the down side, we had to wait a long time for service...30 minutes before we were even offered a drink.
This is one of our favorite Paris restaurant.
We spent a week in France snd we stumbled upon this because of Fork. I literally joined to leave this review. Best bernaise sauce I’ve had and the main steak is delicious. the appetizers were excellent. Not too expensive. The best meal we had all week.
What a perfect evening! The food was outstanding, the wait staff was attentive, and the setting was lovely.
The dinner and service was excellent!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was well prepared and delicious.
We enjoyed our meal a lot....the service was excellent and very professional. We had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait to get in. The food was excellent and the restaurant is very charming. Highly recommend it!
très bon restaurant
Lovely evening with charming staff and delicious dishes. I loved the scallops!
We’ve visited Le Bouledogue repeatedly over the last few years and always enjoy the food. That said, I’m sick of being shown to the worst table in the entire restaurant time after time. It usually happens after they’ve identified us as English speakers and is often accompanied by the presentation of an English menu. I speak French perfectly well, own a second home in Paris, and know better than to have to take a table by the kitchen door for the third time in a row! It’s really a shame, because otherwise the service and food is quite good. We’ll go back, but the next time I’ll raise holy hell if I’m shown to that table by the kitchen!
Good food, nice restaurant and just a little bit slowed service.
Very cosy with good atmosphere. Food was very good!
The food was excellent with many wonderful choices, love the Profiteroles! Service was excellent and ambiance just right. Will certainly return.
We were looking for a French experience and we got it. The staff were excellent and the meals were very good. We took a risk given that our daughters are 10 & 12 but both of them were able to find a meal they enjoyed too. My confit duck was beautiful.
bistro simple mais de bonne qualité
Excellent cod dish and superb service
We made our reservations and had a full order of appertizer, main, desert, wine, cheese and coffee. The food was the usual average that one expects from most bistros - the usual standards. Unfortunately the service was just horrendous . We were constantly rushed and even before we finished the dish, the table was cleared. It was all about getting us in, ordering the full meal deal, suggesting the most expensive bottle of wine and then before we knew it, they were there with the cheque and told to leave. The table cleared and the next victims shoved into their seats before we even got our coats. So if you are into a fast food style service with a total lack of regard for their clients, this is it. It is regretable since we had a similar experience during our first time there and really wanted to give this place a 2nd chance since it was close to home. Guess NOT - there are many more better bistros that actually caters to you, serves better food and allows you to experience an evening out. Skip it!
One of my favorite spots in the Marais. Owners are great and make everyone feel welcome. Great food and service.
Restaurants in Paris are more often disappointing than enjoyable. Le Bouledogue was a rare exception. I will recommend it with enthusiasm and look forward to returning there myself.
Was visiting Paris with my sister and her family including a child of 8 years old. We made a reservation in advance knowing how busy it can be. We were met by a very friendly personnel, followed by an amazing quality of food and drinks. The duck breast was still nice and juicy, the veal kidneys were to die for and cod nicely prepared. Also, the salade with confit duck and lentils was a good start of our dinner. All in all, had a lovely evening together, and all compliments to the chef and the team running the place!
pleasant, French and a must for doglovers.
We were seated immediately upon arrival at a table we requested. Service was great. Chose the restaurant primarily to enjoy the duck and it did not disappoint! A bit noisy on the street but a mostly enjoyable view.
An excellent choice for good french cuisine, service is excellent. Finally, friendly staff in Paris!
Tender confit de canard. Charming setting and friendly staff.
Waiter spoke good English and was very friendly. The bulldog was very friendly and loved the attention. One of the best steaks I've had and that says a lot coming from Chicago.
