About the restaurant Le Bouledogue

We were looking for a French experience and we got it. The staff were excellent and the meals were very good. We took a risk given that our daughters are 10 & 12 but both of them were able to find a meal they enjoyed too. My confit duck was beautiful.

We made our reservations and had a full order of appertizer, main, desert, wine, cheese and coffee. The food was the usual average that one expects from most bistros - the usual standards. Unfortunately the service was just horrendous . We were constantly rushed and even before we finished the dish, the table was cleared. It was all about getting us in, ordering the full meal deal, suggesting the most expensive bottle of wine and then before we knew it, they were there with the cheque and told to leave. The table cleared and the next victims shoved into their seats before we even got our coats. So if you are into a fast food style service with a total lack of regard for their clients, this is it. It is regretable since we had a similar experience during our first time there and really wanted to give this place a 2nd chance since it was close to home. Guess NOT - there are many more better bistros that actually caters to you, serves better food and allows you to experience an evening out. Skip it!

Restaurants in Paris are more often disappointing than enjoyable. Le Bouledogue was a rare exception. I will recommend it with enthusiasm and look forward to returning there myself.

My partner and I loved this little place. The service was excellent! We don't speak French so the staff were so friendly and paicent and explained everything to us. I would recommend the duck for main it was so tender! We would return next time we are in Paris!

Was visiting Paris with my sister and her family including a child of 8 years old. We made a reservation in advance knowing how busy it can be. We were met by a very friendly personnel, followed by an amazing quality of food and drinks. The duck breast was still nice and juicy, the veal kidneys were to die for and cod nicely prepared. Also, the salade with confit duck and lentils was a good start of our dinner. All in all, had a lovely evening together, and all compliments to the chef and the team running the place!

A couple of tourists from Melbourne (Australia's foodie capital) we were on a very chilly Paris evening. Le Bouledogue was warm & inviting, the staff friendlly and accomodating with the right amount of Emglish to ensure our evening went well.
The food was great. An ample of choices to suit vegetarians/pescatarians/carnivores. The meals were beautifully presented and were way above the standard compared to the 'touristy' restaurants. We asked our waiter for a wine recommendation and he chose for us a moderately priced red which was excellent. The only little quibble was the speed in which the service was executed. This is not a bad thing, however we felt a tad rushed. We wanted a nice break between the three courses so we could linger over the wine and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. All in all an excellent restaurant. Will revisit & recommend!

Good service, but the food was rather disappointing (todays specials). If you are in Paris for a few nights only - we would recommend you to go somewhere else.
