About the restaurant Le Bouledogue

Restaurants in Paris are more often disappointing than enjoyable. Le Bouledogue was a rare exception. I will recommend it with enthusiasm and look forward to returning there myself.

My partner and I loved this little place. The service was excellent! We don't speak French so the staff were so friendly and paicent and explained everything to us. I would recommend the duck for main it was so tender! We would return next time we are in Paris!

Was visiting Paris with my sister and her family including a child of 8 years old. We made a reservation in advance knowing how busy it can be. We were met by a very friendly personnel, followed by an amazing quality of food and drinks. The duck breast was still nice and juicy, the veal kidneys were to die for and cod nicely prepared. Also, the salade with confit duck and lentils was a good start of our dinner. All in all, had a lovely evening together, and all compliments to the chef and the team running the place!

A couple of tourists from Melbourne (Australia's foodie capital) we were on a very chilly Paris evening. Le Bouledogue was warm & inviting, the staff friendlly and accomodating with the right amount of Emglish to ensure our evening went well.
The food was great. An ample of choices to suit vegetarians/pescatarians/carnivores. The meals were beautifully presented and were way above the standard compared to the 'touristy' restaurants. We asked our waiter for a wine recommendation and he chose for us a moderately priced red which was excellent. The only little quibble was the speed in which the service was executed. This is not a bad thing, however we felt a tad rushed. We wanted a nice break between the three courses so we could linger over the wine and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. All in all an excellent restaurant. Will revisit & recommend!

Good service, but the food was rather disappointing (todays specials). If you are in Paris for a few nights only - we would recommend you to go somewhere else.

This was a nice meal in Paris - but nothing we would rush back to due to the prices. The service was excellent.

Only thing missing was seeing the actual 'bouledogue'! :) Very accepting of an American trying out their horrible French (didn't even insist on giving me an English menu!).

Good food, both taste and servings but don't bother with the deserts. Great atmosphere and the right mix of knowing locals and a few tourists. Helpfull service, willing to accommodate my limited French speaking ability and menu in French and English.

Wonderful food, attentive staff and management and we loved meeting Virgil, the French Bulldog. Will definitely go back. Try the Confit du Canard

We were seated immediately upon arrival at a table we requested. Service was great. Chose the restaurant primarily to enjoy the duck and it did not disappoint! A bit noisy on the street but a mostly enjoyable view.

Waiter spoke good English and was very friendly. The bulldog was very friendly and loved the attention. One of the best steaks I've had and that says a lot coming from Chicago.
