Wow! Blown away. Forget the old stuff on Rue des Bouchers, and make the short way to Ixelles (15 min by Uber from Grand Place) for absolutely superb Belgian/Occitanian/Réunion fusion cuisine. An incredible Croquettes de Pied de Porc; truly unbelievable Cassoulet with Lard from Hungary; hand-made sausage from Réunion, and home-made confit de Canard. Listen, I was speechless for an hour after eating. PLUS, wines beyond my experience. Natural wine from Alsace and a fantastic Vaqueyras....We will not forget this experience in a long time, and will try to return soon!!!
I have really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and the wine proposed by the waiter too. I can definitely recommend it !
The place is warm although the decoration was lacking of style and elegance. The only waiter was dressed wearing a training outfit. They give importance to food, which was actually of high quality. I ent out for dinner with a friend but would not take my wife there. You don’t pay 50 eur for a piece of meat and you get this service and decoration.
super bon, super personnel, super ambiance !!
Excellent food. Highly recommended.
Jules was AMAZING!!! Great food & super cool natural wines...
The menu offers just a few dishes but very selected. The cassoulet with duck confit was wonderful and has a lot of succes. I have appreciated that the cooker came asking to every customers how it happened at the end of the evening.
The food and wine were incredible ! We highly recommend this place !
Finally paying a visit to Le Bout de Gras - Tried both fish (entrée) and the tartare - splendid ideas with seaweed - tender meat - market products - mouthful Gamay. A must for new cuisine in the Chatelain area of Brussels.
Small restaurant and small kitchen. So be ready to take it slow when it comes to cooking the food. Hopeful they have good wines to sip while waiting. Menu is not extensive.
Good french food in a tiled walled restaurant. A very limited menu but well chosen variety. Reasonabled priced. I will go back.
Limited menu with items that could be considered very “eclectic”. You should be very adventurous with trying food.
This was quite an experience. The menu is short and sweet but the bottom line is whatever you order will be awesome!
Small menu but everything we tasted was delicious! Meat oriented menu, don't go if you want vegetables. The place is really cute and we felt totally relaxed, we were given the time to enjoy the food and the evening.
Le Bout de Gras is a place that rhymes with hearty, invigorating meals for adventurous foodies. A balanced combination of traditional French bistro food and exotic flavours, with a pinch of fat craving expression from starters to desserts. Natural wines and relaxed hosts make you feel at home. One of my favourite places in the Chatelain area.
This is the second time we dined at Le Bout de Gras. We were there shortly after its opening and we're positively impressed. Today's experienced reinforced our first impression. Very good quality all over. Very honest cuisine.
The food was very tasteful!! the menu is short but comprehensive, makes choosing a lot easier. The decoration is simple and full of character. One of the friendliest staff I encountered in Brussels :) Defintely worth coming back, thank you for the great food and service.
Simple, generous, honest "family cuisine". Loved it!

Nous faisons une cuisine de marché avec les légumes de saison. Melange de cuisibe française et créole.
Le restaurant a conservé la décoration du début du siècle où les lieux etaient occupés par une boucherie.
