About the restaurant Le Buisson Ardent

"QUARTIER LATIN - The restaurant Le Buisson Ardent is placed in the beginning of the 20th century in a former post lodge of the 5th arrondissement, while retaining the entire charm of the era. With woodwork and murals, a comfortable atmosphere where you will be warmly welcomed reigns in these places.

CLASSICS REINVENTED - Are you a lover of true French Bistro cuisine? Come and discover the 'terroir' menu. Chef Arnaud Vansanten and his team know how to be innovative while respecting traditions. Now you need to choose: Scallops and their fondue of endive or confit shoulder of lamb with lemon flavor?

SPIRIT AND CONSCIENCE - Here, à la carte wines are selected by Nicolas Desnoues, the manager of the restaurant. You can trust its refined selection fearlessly and enjoy the authenticity restored to this place full of history."

The quality of the food was very good particularly the main course and the desert. Very good flavours.

The wine list although small was good and the wine chosen excellent.

It's my favorite restaurant in Paris after 30 years of long stays in the city. Unfortunately it's not in the most picturesque area, what with the Jussieu building in front of it but everything else is perfect from the creative cuisine, to the bistro ambiance and the charming staff.
We keep going back to celebrate birthdays, to take people out or just to have a good meal in the family.

Low key and very nice vibe. We were among the only non French speakers and got excellent treatment. Not haute cuisine but also not standard bistro care. Happy medium in between. A great meal and value for the price. Lovely experience.

Easily our favorite meal in Paris. Casual and cozy atmosphere coupled with cuisine that was inventive and exceptionally well-executed without being precious or formal. Service was attentive and genuinely warm.

This was our first evening meal in Paris and we found it to be over-priced and rather pretentious.
Having booked the restaurant in advance, we were disappointed to find that a table hadn't been set aside for us. In fact, all the 'best' tables were already occupied. The tables were all very close together and it was unfortunate that we were seated next to a table of animated (loud!) talkers.
The food was OK, but for the price we wished we had dined elsewhere,

Really top place in Paris to get quality, traditional style French cooking with a modern twist! Good service, nice wine - nothing sensational but very good value!
