4.5/10We opted for the €39.50 three-course meal, and each of us chose different dishes, totaling six distinct courses. Every ingredient listed on the menu was one I genuinely enjoy, however, despite my fondness for the individual components, the execution fell flat. The chef failed to balance the flavors, resulting in a series of dishes where each element stood isolated. Instead of achieving a harmonious blend where the combined flavors would enhance each other, we were left with disjointed tastes that clashed rather than complemented. The result was a profound disappointment, transforming what should have been a delightful experience into an unexpectedly unpleasant one.

8/10They did not have my reservation through google or The Fork despite the fact that I had confirmations from both and received a reminder today. They gave us a table despite not showing a reservation. The dishes were fine but not memorable and the service was passable. We had a 40€ bottle of wine that retails for 12€.

3.5/10Le Cambronne Bistrot seemed to be a popular place. Walking by each evening it was always busy with a queue outside. So something about it must be good, right? Unfortunately it was disappointing. The staff were nice enough. But most restaurant staff in Nantes are, and I had to wait a while before I and others were seen to at our tables. If they were short on staff, why have two people work behind the bar? The food was the big let down. The gyōza and shrimp were overcooked and had little flavor. The vegetables they were on - more like sofrito with a couple of mushrooms - were freezing cold which doesn't go well with hot food on top. The main course was also disappointing. I ordered what I thought was risotto (which is how it was labeled on the menu). It was actually fusilli pasta with a runny cream sauce, an egg, some ham, a parmesan crisp and some sliced raw mushrooms. Or otherwise a French-style pasta carbonara. It was just OK. But not what I expected from a restaurant with this reputation. I ate everything as I was hungry but didn't stay for dessert. It's not that the experience was bad. It's just there are so many other great food options in Nantes to go to first. I fear that restaurants like Le Cambronne that rest on their prior reputation are doomed to fail.

9.5/10We felt very welcome upon arrival. When we hesitated about eating outside, the host took us to a very nice table outside and turned on the heater. We enjoyed good portions of delicious food brought to our table by very capable and helpful staff. We had a lovely evening.

10/10I can’t describe in words the dinner we had at this restaurant. It was phenomenal. The dishes are excellent and the combination of flavors was amazing. Definitely will recommend and visit again on my next visit.

10/10We had a great time in this place. The service was very attentive, they did their best to translate the menu to English, and were very friendly. The food was delicious. We loved the tapas and the chicken. Worth the money
