We wanted to eat at a restaurant by the beach and Le Cap Horn was a lovely choice. In a hotel and very fancy! The food and service were excellent. We both had oysters for a starter and fish for the main - both very fresh.

The food was excellent but the service was very slow. We had to wait for our bill while they were cleaning up around us, resetting tables and linens. Never offered us coffee until after our cheese plate and dessert. never refilled our water or offered us a second glass of wine. Very disappointing!

Attentive knowledgeable staff, nice environment, beautiful ocean views. This is a perfect special occasion restaurant. The food was excellent and the wine choices very good. Demi bottles available which is nice for pairing with varied courses.

The restaurant “Le Cap Horn” did not have our reservation. The hostess rudely informed us that we did not have a reservation because we were not in her system. I showed her the email confirmation and text message but she told us that she did not care. After 5 minutes of insisting very, very angrily that we did not have a reservation, she reluctantly sat us in the back corner room where the server station was located with a table without any tablecloth (all the other tables in the main dining room had tablecloths) on a dirty wooden table. It was a terrible experience

This restaurant, based in a grand hotel on the beach away from the crowds of St. Malo, is fine, but as most restaurants in hotels they aim for the middle—making the food and ambiance adequate but not memorable. The waitress was less attentive than one would expect. We had several more memorable meals in St. Malo with creative chefs and attentive staff. Aim for middle and are not dating or creative not outstanding

It is out dated - needs refreshing - new vibes . Spot is amazing - yet blinders till warmth of the amazing sunset is bearable is a NO GO for such a price . Food is okay You are behind glass !!! no terrace - just for apperative Change lights ( too bright - no ambience ) Change shutters ( no view at all to keep out the warmth is bizar ) Change outfits waiters - totally out dated & Serve untill the end please !!!

We made a last minute reservation at this restaurant and the staff was very accommodating. We asked for a good table and they moved us to a great spot with a great view. The service was excellent and so was the food and wine.

Beautiful restaurant with a view. The food was good and so was the atmosphere. Among the deserts we ordered, surprisingly, the crêpes suzette were most dissapointing. We did come at a busy time, but the service was way too slow: we were left with empty glasses waiting for our wine, then waited 20mins to get the bill. Overall good, but I don't think we'd be coming back.
