Le Chapon Fin

Excellent from start to finish. Beauty, quality and creativity throughout my evening. Special applause to the chef sommelier who managed to marry foie gras with a red wine (my unreasonable request) just perfectly! My only question is why this restaurant does not yet have their Michelin star...they surely merit it.

We expected good food and service and that is exactly what we got. In spite of the, slightly, subdued atmosphere as result of Covid 19 the staff were very attentive and friendly. If I have one criticism it is that we’re were informed to wear our masks whenever leaving the table. This did not happen with a number of diners so, I would suggest if they make such a ruling they should Make sure to enforce it. That said, I would definitely visit this restaurant again when next in Bordeaux

Fantastic food and service. Attentive without being fussy. We had the 4 course lunch menu but it came with lots of nice little extras which made it 7 courses plus coffee and chocolates. Really good value and excellent quality.

Le Chapon Fin is an institution in Bordeaux and a must visit for any culinary enthusiast. The menu was perfectly crafted with courses prepared and presented perfectly. The sommelier provided a perfect wine pairing suggestion for my beef course. The service was impeccable and efficient but never intrusive. The quiet atmosphere of Le Chapon Fin added to the dining experience.

Delicious dishes in an unusual setting evocative of a sea cave in a garden. A small menu with flawless preparation and elegant presentation. Amuse bouches on top of first rate cuisine.

Always an excellent expérience to dîne in this restaurant. We cant stop coming back here and it has become a local favorite. Quality of food is excellent. Wine pairing is perfect. Several amuse-Bouche is a real treat. Service is impeccable. It's a must restaurant to visit when you are in Bordeaux!

Service was great, the foods are delicious, we had a really good time

Had the 35 euros christmas lunch, which is very raisonnable price when you compared to their usual main dish prices. Enjoyed the service & multiple small dishes/bread in-between dishes. Main dishes were nice but lacking a little bit of flavour/no waouh factor

The staff were excellent. The food good but my main course was a bit cold. There was a table next to us where the lady was walking round using her i phone to take photos and in scruffy clothes, jeans and trainers, not very acceptable in such a good restaurant.

Everything was great!! The service was excellent; the atmosphere is romantic and beautiful; the food was delicious. The restaurant provided many starters and small desserts free which felt welcoming and generous. There is a lot of flexibility in that you can order a la carte, fixed courses without wine, and fixed courses with wine pairings. Given the food, atmosphere and service, we were pleasantly surprised with the price of the meal and thought it was very fair. It was a wonderful experience.

Very good overall impression. The food is light, well balanced and has got suprising combination effects. The service is perfect, the sommeliers are fantastic. Wine list is amazing, especially the wines by the glass. A must in Bordeaux! I wonder why the Michelin guys seem to forget about this place.
