Service was poor. Waited a half a hour fir the bill. Wait staff could be more personable and attentive. Did not get service until others guests who arrive after us were already served. Wine pairing was good. Really like three out of the five courses.

Kitschy romantic decor, fake rocks in a early 1920s set. Great service (5 or six different waiters during the meal all very careful) but cuisine is insufficient for the price (237€ for a couple and I just ate a 69€ menu - true that we took 4 glass of their non dosé champagne which is not as tasty as they pretend (16€ per glass)). Presentation in the plate is a bit overkill and a lot of the menu items are inspired by the Vietnamese origin of the Chef. I ordered Bar sauvage but they had finished their stock so I got a replacement fish, well cooked. My partner ordered Saint pierre fish (white fish) but it was too cooked. Café is served with goodies and a pannacotta so might as well skip the uninspired dessert menu. I wouldn't go again. And don't expect to eat any chapon there.

He had the 89€ menu of five courses.
I would say that I was expecting more for the first plate and the desert. The fish and veal were really good!!!
I had my thoughts weather I should visit that restaurant or other Michelin's of the city. Bottom of line is that the food was average.

Booked for lunch and the experience exceeded my expectations. Beautiful restaurant, attentive service and amazing food. We got to dine underneath a grotto. Best dining experience I had in Bordeaux. Highly recommended!

We loved this restaurant! It was fun to think we were seated at the table where the King of Spain and his mistress would sit. The food was incredible (and plentiful ). The staff, helpful and attentive. Would definitely return, especially for a special occasion.
