I ordered the foie gras as a starter... very ho hum and nothing spectacular. It was truly just a sliced slab of foie gras on a plate, with no accompaniments or presentation. I ordered the fish as my main course. It was cooked in some sort of leaf and presented table side for the "unwrapping." It was flavorless, lacked any seasoning and was cold. This restaurant is certainly not worth the money and absolutely NOT deserving of a Michelin star. It was terrible and I would never recommend it to anyone!

Everything about our experience was wonderful. Very creative tastes and textures, with excellent wine pairings/suggestions. We had the prix fixe meal that was sprinkled with delicious extras and just-right sized portions. We were given the choice of various cheeses, again with good recommendations. Staff was very professional and friendly. The dining room had a classic look, not ornate, but sleek and comfortable. Value was excellent. The waiter made a point of showing us how we could take a walk after our meal on the chateau's grounds.

The waitstaff was really hectic. They were literally running around the dinning room. Even had a couple of collisions while they were hurrying. The food was very good but hard to enjoy while the staff stands staring at you one minute and then is running around the next. They could have been a lot better about explaining the courses of food. There was a definite language barrier as English was hard for them.

The dining room of Chateau du Pray was unique, partly constructed into a natural rock shelter. Very pretty room with enthusiastic young staff. They did seem, however, to be a little disorganized. The service was somewhat uneven, therefore. The presentation of the food and creations were lovely, and sophisticated. A terrine of foie Gras was excellent. My husband ordered the main course of blue lobster as his appetizer, and there was a misunderstanding. The waiter thought that he wanted the starter of the lobster. We felt badly to send the dish back, but they did take it away with apologies and brought the other preparation fairly quickly. It is definitely worth coming to dine at Chateau de Pray for the unique dishes, the atmosphere and the friendly staff.

The food was good, but disappointing after our prior Michelin 1-star experience at Pur in Paris - it was not in the same league. The service was definitely off - there were long waits for someone to take our order, or offer a wine menu, or a somellier to discuss wine pairings. I rarely refuse a wine unless obviously bad, as I'm curious to see how they pair with the intended dish, but I ended up sending back 2 glasses that evening. Overall, I'm surprised this restaurant has a Michelin star.

Wonderful setting. Dined al fresco overlooking the gardens and the river. Excellent food and wine. Service a tad disappointing/slow as one wine order was missed and the meal took three and a half hours to complete. Overall, a fine experience that fell a little short of expectations.

Dinner took three and a half hour. We left after forgoing coffe and having to ask twice for the bill. The sommelier was excellent, but rest of staff was inexperienced. No one was in charge of dining room.

A sensational dinner at Chateau de Pray: the food, the presentation, the service, and even the chef's personal attention to our experience was superb! The confit of duck, the white asparagus, the limousine of beef, the rack of lamb and, lastly, the best dessert we've had in France: black currant soufflé. C'est parfait! Beautiful, romantic setting, and the servers were friendly and attentive.
