Some of the dishes fell flat. Although creative, some were bland and underwhelming. We had very high expectations, and were a bit disappointed.

I really like the spirit of this restaurant and understand what they are trying to do. You cannot discover new things without experimentation. However, many of the dishes, while interesting, were just ok tasting. We also wished that we had not done the wine pairings which included small shots of liquor and cider, none of which my wife liked. I should have read the pairings first and then just ordered a white and a red instead. Perhaps, I'm too much of a traditionalist...The staff was all very friendly and helpful and seemed enthusiastic about the food, especially the Spanish woman whose English was better than my French.
