The service and location was great but food had a lot more to be desired, in my opinion. I ordered a dinner menu on a Saturday night. The tuna tartaki starter and nougat ice-cream dessert was alright. The octopus main dish was recommended by the waiter for its popularity, but the dish lacked flavour and I thought the pairing with the mash potatoes was odd. I feel Le Cinq could do much better with its pricing and reputation. I was honestly disappointed with the experience as it was far below my expectations.
As I am a vegetarian, I was a little disappointed with the menu. Maybe I should have told them l was vegetarian. Nothing exceptional about the salads we had. The cafe gourmand were excellent. We sat on the terrace and were unfortunately bothered by flies. The staff was polite and accommodating. All in all it is a good restaurant.
Excellente cuisine!! Je recommande le poulpe.
tres bon rapport qualite prix
We have made a reservation via thefork.com. We had the €29,5 menu, 3 courses, with a free bottle of wine (only on thursday) for 4 people. The food was very good, we will recommend this restaurant to our friends and would go back next time we are in Montpellier.
