10/10Wonderful staff, great wines, great food - we spent New Years Eve at Le Clarmarais and found this to be a hidden gem of a restaurant.

9.5/10We had lunch here twice during our stay in Reims. We tried the menu of the day both times and it was wonderful. Very good value value at a reasonable price point lots of locals.

10/10Frederic and Jean-Philippe were superb this evening - our first ever visit to Reims. Frederic helped explain parts of our meal as my French isn’t that good and Jean-Philippe was slick and well timed with his visits to our table. They were inexpectedly a man down in the kitchen and you wouldn’t have known as the food, service and atmosphere were all great. We had the bavette steak and scallops and both meals were delicious. The cheeseboard and tiramisu for desserts were equally good (the Roquefort was excellent). We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend this restaurant. It’s honest, French in style and very welcoming to all visitors If we were staying longer I know we’d be back (like many customers this evening) for another meal. Thank you Frederic and Jean-Philippe!

10/10What a lovely evening. Fred, the host, remembered our group from 3 years ago and made our evening very special. Food was delicious - portions were enormous. Wine pairings were well chosen. Thanks!

6.5/10Restaurant was understaffed so we had to wait 45 minutes for cold starters (bread and salad). We cancelled the main course as we did not want to wait any longer. Food was decent.

8.5/10Really Great restaurant food choice, taste and service. Opposite the novetel hotel so very convenient. waiter kindly made suggestion for evening light spectacle at cathedral and very attentive no fuss when my son dropped his cutlery he replaced it straight away. Would recommend.

10/10Epic! It looks like a chic but family run restaurant but the food is Michelin star quality. Everyone was so welcoming despite it being very busy. The menu was varied with loads of choices so something for everyone. I had the house foie gras which they paired with homemade raspberry coulis which really worked - it was delicious. Next I had what has become THE best filet steak I have ever had cooked to perfection and served with homemade blue cheese sauce that enhanced the meat and the grilled smokiness. Even the frites were epic! They tasted like a cross between regular fries but had a sweetness reminiscent of sweet potatoes - I would move to France if I could eat those fries regularly but they must be a specialty of the house because I never tasted them before or again- it’s worth going for them alone. Generous portions on both so I could not manage dessert but they looked amazing.

10/10We really enjoyed our lunch at Le Clairmarais. It was very busy with locals on a Monday lunchtime which goes to show how good it is. We were made to feel welcome and the service was excellent. We had the menu of the day which was delicious and very good value. The wine list was also well priced. We will definitely return when we next visit Reims.
