About the restaurant Le Cohé

En plein centre-ville de Pessac, tout près de Bordeaux, Franck Angelaud vous accueille dans son restaurant à la décoration colorée et feutrée, entre nappes blanches et tons pourpres. Très bonne adresse pour un dîner intime aux chandelles, tout comme un repas d’affaires.

Le Chef vous y confectionne des plats simples et raffinés, toujours à la recherche de l'alliance parfaite entre saveurs et textures. L'accent est tout particulièrement mis sur la qualité et la fraîcheur des produits. On y déguste une cuisine traditionnelle aux influences régionales.

Good restaurant in Pessac... so you don't drive to Bordeaux in case you stay around and wanna drink ;)
Quite nice food, although not exceptional either. Great starter soup though, of pumpkin with paned fois-gras and 18months old dried cheese... amazing.

The decoration on the dishes was very nice. Big plates with very little food :-( The "Ris de veau" has is their speciality wasn't great at all and very small quantity on the place. I had the same meals elsewhere bigger quantity, much better and tastier.
Don't recommend this restaurant. Very disappointing :-(

Our waiter could not have been more helpful atmosphere good nice bright restaurant with lovely outdoor terrace but the food was very disappointing 29euro menu per head with 10 euro supplement for Angus beef steaks???? with wine we ended up with very little change from 100euro this included an online 20% discount do the maths ????
Did get an apology from the waiter for foreign body in my main.

Bonjour. Vous n avez pas compris le principe de la remise sur la fourchette. Les 20% ne sont accordés que sur des mets pris à la carte. Vous avez opté pour des menus donc la remise n a pas étais faite. Quand au supplément de la noix d entrecôte il es parfaitement logique pour de la charolaise Angus.

Very good restaurant at an affordable price (the menu we took was 40euros for starter + plate + dessert).
I higly recommend it if you go to Pessac or even Bordeaux.

The food was fine, nothing to distinguish it from so many small restaurants of this type in France. Certainly no complaints but not blown away either.
The service was excellent, friendly and efficient.
All in all a handy place for a decent lunch before a flight from Merignac.
