The food choices were interesting and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. The wine selection was adequate. We would definitely go back.

Friendly, helpful staff, casual atmosphere, delicious food. My fish brochette was prepared with care, grilled to perfection, and accompanied by a light sauce perfectly suited to the mild flavor of the fish. We had a tartlette with vibrant flavors. The white wine recommended by our waitress was dry and focused, a perfect complement to the fish.

Restaurant hadn't received our booking and tried to put us 1) at the bar, 2) on a high table in a corridor before finally 'finding' a table in the main restaurant. Food was reasonable but my wife's fish came without the advertised sauce which the waitress would not accept. The explanation from the maitresse 'd was that the waitress had taken the dish before the chef had time to sauce it! Strange set-up with the wine - no wine list just a badly lit 'cave' with no indication of prices. Obvious tensions between front of house staff did not make for for a calm atmosphere and meant an unacceptably long wait for the bill with no recompense for the errors made. The standard of food was good (when as on the menu) but the kitchen was let down by front of house.

We booked a table through the Fork and the restaurant turned us away stating they were not accepting bookings through the app. This was despite the restaurant being empty at the time. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement ....compounded by the humiliation by a patronising manager. Best avoided . . Spend your money elsewhere.

The environment and services was not what I was expecting. It is a restaurant grand, with large number of tables and significant noise. Plates were big, but without tasting differential.

We went there for some lunch. The Staff were very friendly. The Restaurant is very clean with a lovely warm atmosphere and our food was very nice. There is also a good wine selection.
We Will definitely go back for some food again when we are back in Bordeaux .

The restaurant us spacious and the food was well prepared with a nice twist on typical
French fare. Lamb & swordfish were outstanding! Beware that the street outside of the restaurant is under construction but easy to access.

My husband and I are from Boston and absolutely adored this restaurant! Recommended to us by some lovely locals, this restaurant has a very talented chef and owner who named the restaurant after his son Etienne. Service was warm and friendly, the space very charming and dishes bursting with great flavors. One of our favorites in Bordeaux to be sure. Don’t hesitate to go. We are already planning our next visit and return to this special restaurant.

Restaurant was very nice but quiet although it was livening up as we left. Once the restaurant got busy the owner was rushed off his feet. Excellent service and food. A hidden gem. Signage could be improved purely from an advertising perspective, we had to stand outside and take 30 secs to establish we were at the right restaurant as the sign wasn’t easy to read to a passing tourist. Highly recommend to anyone ????

Wonderful meal, and great value too. Booked for Sunday night, but restaurant was actually closed when we went. So went for lunch the next day and were glad we did. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This is not about the quality of the food, but the fact that at the end of the meal, the owner claimed that we had not booked with fourchette and refused the 30% reduction. He rudely asserted that reductions were not available at 20:00, which was the time we had booked (with reduction) on fourchette. After seeing the reservation on my phone, he conceded the reduction, but only after I had started to speak about the legality of the situation. A sad end to a potentially pleasant evening, since the food was 'correct'.
