About the restaurant Le Cosmopolis

This was the most disappointing dinner experience I've had in the recent past. I came here with high hopes, since both of us are vegetarian.

We ordered 2 starters and entree, both incredibly bland and inedible. No salt, seasoning, or flavor of any kind. The pasta was plain pasta with overbooked vegetables and no sauce. The avocado starter resembled nothing I've ever seen seemed an avocado.

I'm normally very open minded about most restaurants, but this was awful.

We made a booking for 7:30pm, but got stuck in Bordeaux traffic. I don't speak French well, and they spoke English with me, and very understanding about being late. Great food, very welcoming. Wine list was very thought out and in line with the cuisine. My friend is vegetarian and he loved the food. Thank you for being so understanding and for the great experience.

It was early so very quiet. It did get a little busier over time. Food was good, although limited choice, but service was fine. It was good that we had French speakers in our party otherwise it would have been difficult to know the menu.

If you are looking for a vegetarian option while in Bordeaux, this place can suit you. We had Thai pasta Salad, and lentil burgers. They both were good, but nothing exceptional. It is hard to find veggie options in Bordeaux, so go for it! Don't let the ambiance misguide you. It's cozy and the food is good.

We sought out an innovative vegetarian place. The place was welcoming but the food was lacking inspiration; portions for appetizers and deserts were very small and felt like they both missed salt (cucumber with raw salmon; and rhubarb tart). The main dish of salmon was dry and not enjoyed. We like the concept and service was excellent but the kitchen was not delivering anything to impress. Also the prices were 20% higher than similar places we tried in this area.
