Excellent
Top! On recommande pleinement! #paillettedanslassiette
The food quality & presentation were top notch; The restaurant attracts a younger, business clientele so the noise level tends to be “lively” but NOT “rowdy”. The wait staff was very efficient & attentive. A most enjoyable evening!
Fair food for the price but nothing to write home about.
Très bien
My family had a great time in this restaurant. Service and food were excellent and we even received a complimentary dessert treat, which is the house specialty, so delicious!!! Fairly priced and nice ambiance, highly recommend :-)
Excellent
Un grand merci et un restaurant avec une belle carte :)
Lovely place in the heart of Paris. Seems like a small place from the outside, but has stairs up to a very French and atmospheric open space. Other restaurants tent to have too many tables and these then create too much noise. Not here :) food was good, my duck had a minute or two too much. Selection of wine is proper, but pricy overall but definitely a recommendation to fans of the French cuisine who also fancy a vegetarian option. Moving the right direction of opening up the French cuisine :)
A recommander aux amis
The menu for the NYE menu was great. The big downside is that they were extremely understaffed. Our dinner took over 3 hours. Not the fault of the staff working as they did the best they could and even apologized at the end for the service. One slightly misleading thing is that the reservation for the NYE menu said that drinks were included but this really only meant a glass I’d welcome champagne and a rum shot at the end. The place is very cozy. The food was outstanding. If I’m in Paris again - I’ll be back to taste the regular menu items.
The owner came out to greet his guests and was very personable. Everyone at the table was pleased with their entrees and desserts. If you call ahead the owner/chef will make you anything you want as before owning the restaurant, he was a personal chef. You can even order the “chef surprise” for dessert. If you give him a couple of things you like, he will create a dessert for you. It was such a pleasant experience and my teenaged daughters were asking to go again. It was French comfort food that was prepared with care.
I don't understand all the 10 out of 10 ratings - we were so looking forward to having a wonderful eperience eating at this "gem" of a restaurant. They held our table - even though we were running late. The waitstaff was friendly and welcoming. We were led to the upstairs dining room, which was lit so brightly at dinnertime, I thought it might be a mistake. Killed the ambiance immediately. The antipasta platter was delicious. Then the main dishes: He ordered the Cote de Boeuf (Prime RIb steak) "medium" and it was quite thin and totally rare inside. I ordered the Leg of Duck Confit, and it was quite tough and stringy. The chef came out to say hello, deliver dishes and even bussed tables. He seemed young and very nice, but we didn't have the heart to tell him we were both disappointed with the main dishes.
We had a very enjoyable evening at Le Coupe Gorge and thought the food excellent. There was no problem with the 5 of us sharing 2 starters and 4 of the 5 sharing 2 desserts. There is a wide choice of main dished with several specials as well. We all had fish, cooked 3 different ways, and they were all beautifully cooked and served with vegetables, something rare in France. The wine we choose was reasonably priced and went very will with our food. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and go again the next time I'm in Paris.
Great food, really friendly staff. Good decor but table and chairs a little rocky (remedied by napkin placement under supports).
Excellent! Bravo
Good value for money. Rather quiet for a Saturday evening. Recommended.
My wife, son and I enjoyed our meal not only because of the food but the entire experience of dining there. Would recommend Le Coupe Gorge anytime.
For a restaurant in the city center, the price, the quality, the service was all worth it. The people running the restaurant were friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will be definitely be going there again :)
Parfait !
