Le Floris retains its high quality standards for its foods. While service is good, it has become pleasantly relaxed since opting out of the Michelin system. Highly recommended.

In English:
Staff very courteous. Wait time was correct. Menu was fine.
Disappointments:
I went to Floris twice before but that was before the renovation. I find the renovated bistro type decor not done in keeping with the reputation. It does not reflect the quality standard expected.
More disappointing: open wine available was only local Geneva wine. No French or Italian or Spanish wines were on the list of wine by glass or by karafe. Also, no half-bottles at all!
For one or two persons, who are not heavy drinkers of wine, the inability to order a half-bottle of good wine is restrictive. The local Geneva red wine was below standard.
They should either have non-Swiss wines by the glass or have half-bottles for the French/Italian wines.

The entrée was a delight to the eyes: shrimp hidden in 2 soft light lavender radish slices in an artistic arrangement of eye-catching colors. The main dish of 2 fera fillets was a little overcooked. The Paris-Brest was excellent. I had asked them to put a birthday candle and Happy birthday on my friend's dessert plate, which they willingly obliged. The servers were pleasant and accommodating. The chef , Claude Legras, made the rounds of the tables at the beginning of the meal.

Our starters were disappointing
Zucchini flowers stuffed with dried tomatoes tasted like they were stuffed with pure tomato paste- inedible
Tomato and mozzarella starter looked old and tasted halfway good.
The fresh filet de perches were excellent .
So was the view.
Service very slow

Beautiful lake side setting and elegant interior.
The food was well prepared, but based on the classics, nothing new or exquisite.
Great place for a casual lunch.

Overall pretty good but with mixed experiences; food is really good, excellent bar tartare with caviar, courgette fleures and beef tartare with truffle and basil. Good lamb (slightly undercooked). Good wine list, correct & attentive service. Beautiful views from the terrace but uncomfortable seating under a spotlight attracting mosquitos and eliminating any romanticism. Somewhat surprising they don't put table cloths at a considerable pricey & high end restaurant. Happy to have tried it.

Perfect setting, especially after the sun went down. Food was OK, but a disappointment given the rating and, especially, the prices. I thought the wine list was disappointingly short, especially for non-Swiss wines.
