    I've said it before and I'll say it again...La Gabetta is, dollar-for-dollar, the best restaurant we dined at in a long time. ..and we dine-out a great deal. The cuisine is creative (totally worthy of two-stars, in my humble estimation) and beautifully presented. The service is engaging and thoughtful. La Gabetta is everything one dreams of in a michelin-statured restaurant.

    Amazing 3 course meal (plus amuse Bouche and extra sweets at the end). Everything was perfect - creative and beautifully executed. Wine pairing excellent, especially Cremant at the end.

    Excellent from start to finish. A thoroughly worthwhile dining experience- some very memorable dishes and overall a fun and surprising cuisine. Remarkably good value for money for a midweek treat. Superb service.

    A delightful experience. The staff were efficient, friendly and professional. The food exceeded expectations. I have never spent so much on a meal in my life before and I probably never will again but I will always remember this special meal in the Loire Valley.

    Dessert was the best, followed by the first seafood course, which was a lobster and mango dish; the meat item, a veal, was tasty. Unfortunately, the turbot was half raw and ended up having a tough texture; the amuse-bouche was a tuna tartare, which by itself was all right, but it was served in a pool of "seawater" which made everything taste overly salty; the petits fours was unremarkable. As for the wines, the red was served much too cold--it was, in fact, colder than the white that preceded it! I really tried to like the meal but couldn't... such a shame.

    Unfortunately the restaurant had not considered the impact of the oppressive heat on the dining experience so we had a meal in an incredibly hot room that was very uncomfortable and ruined then meal. It was also unfortunate that it appeared the French diners were seated in the room with the fan whilst the English diners had no fan in their room, and a window was only opened after a few courses had been served (hopefully just an unlucky coincidence). Given the price of the meal, it would have been nice to have the option of a fan in each dining area.

    What a fantastisc experience! We enjoyed every course and the different wine to each plate. Trank you very much for this lovely evening. It was the first time we ordered a meal without knowing what will come and it was a positive surprise.

    The food quality was very good, but we found the serving sizes very small. We chose the 3 course menu(67.50 Euro) and found that the serving sizes looked to be the same for 5 or 7 courses menu. 2 asparagus spears as the first course and an estimated 70-80 G serving off fish, even with plenty of emulsions and foam, is very small. We ordered the cheese board (excellent choices and a very good value) to feel sated. We also found the only choice for dessert was very monochrome in taste, all white chocolate and cream. It needed a much stronger contrast for balance.

    Excellent meal - probably one of the best of several Michelin one star restaurants we have visited over the last couple of months in Europe. Interesting flavours and textures and beautifully presented.

    We have been frequenting Le Gambetta since discovering it as a bib gourmand in the Michelin guide. Now they have earned a star and the food innovation and presentation keeps getting better. This is my favorite Loire valley restaurant.
