10/10A stunning view onto the local fishermen harbour while eating fresh lobsters and seabass. I recommend both together with grey mullet roe tarama as an entrée.

8/10Some of the dishes were just not balanced. We got the worst table even though we asked in advance. Next to the kitchen they play the music really loud. Also quite expensive for what it was. For example if you take 3 oysters twice they charge you for 2x3 and not 6. Details that make it not quite a 5 star. Too bad.

6/10Beautiful view, but the food and service were average. Overpriced compared to what you get on your plate.

10/10Waterside dining with energy, flair and panache. This was our second visit in three weeks, and for our last supper in town. It’s a charming bistrot in a pretty port village with a great buzz, busy plus a place the local Marseillaise seek it out too. Daily specials are chalked up, from which we chose to share some Tuna ceviche and soft shell crab bhajis with a spicy mayo for entrees. However, this is Marseille and we were could not pass the hearty Bourride (for hungrier souls, book ahead for the substantial Bouillabaisse) Seated near the pass we could see other people’s choices coming through. Chef proprietor Benjamin Mathieu clocked me looking quizzically at one striking dish ready to go. He kindly explained that it was his sardine roll - a rich butter toasted brioche bun filled with a rilletes made of sardine, Cantabrian anchovies and poutarge (Provençal for local ‘caviar’ of Mullet fish eggs) - did we want to try one? Rude not to; it was superb. It’s busy, take your time and enjoy!
