8.5/10My partner and I each had a special--raie and prawns salad. The food was well prepared and delicious. This place does not accommodate a broad palette. Come here for seafood prepared French-style. There are no burgers, sandwhiches or salads, etc. The service is good but slower once it gets busy. I only saw 1 server. But the server was attentive. I would recommend if you enjoy and desire seafood prepared well.

8/10Nice restaurant and nice food… the owner could pay more attention to some details like clean glasses (lime stains) or clean cushion

6.5/10We’ve been here several times. The decor is….quirky. All chrome, hard surfaces. Which means a somewhat chilly ambience. The reputation is for fish. There are several fish-themed specials. But the basis €34 menu has a choice of dourade or chicken as the mains. Both tasty and cooked well, but not special.

10/10My grown-up boys and I came to Beaune to learn more about Burgundy wines (white and red). The food in Le Grand Bleu is excellent and so are the wines from a large wine list. The restaurant also offers lots of open wines with famous names if you can't drink a whole bottle. We like the patron who is a warm-hearted Frenchman who reminded us a bit to Louis de Funes ("Chez Septime"). He speaks several languages (French, English, German, Italian) and don't hesitate to ask him for a recommendation of wines or food. He is also willing to share his extensive knowledge about the wine-growing estates in the area. During our 2 days in Beaune we came each night to Le Grand Bleu. Our personal favourites in the set menu were monkfish or knuckle of lamb as a main. We shall definitely come back next time.

Very good welcome and service. The manager pointed out that his last service is at 20:30 and adapted pour réservation accordingly. Their food is good without being exceptional. The dessert is correct and once again - very good service.

10/10Excellent evening. My wife and I booked via The Fork for a Thursday night in August. The manager and his young waitress ensured we had a very good experience. The place is just off the main drag and thus less popular or expensive than some of the bigger, better-known places. We sat outside; parking was easy. I had the Menu Gourmand (€29) of fish soup, excellent steak and a rhubarb pudding. My wife had the Menu Grand Bleu (€39) with

8.5/10The only downside was an extremely loud patron from New York. Her voice was so loud and obnoxious we could barely talk amongst ourselves. The owner was wonderful in acknowledging it post and the second half of our dinner was delightful. Great lobster!
