Excellent
Great little restaurant in the old town center. Attention to details and a great wine list at affordable prices. What a great discovery this was.
This lovely little restaurant is cosy and traditional. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the wines. Lastly the food and wine were absolutely stunning, no surprise they were mentioned in Michelin guide 2020. A must visit!
The combinations of tastes where not to our likings unfortunately. Too much adventurous and we would recommend more classic combinations to propose in the menu together with exotic one.
Unique take on classic tucsan dishes, testily, thoughtfully and beautifully prepared and presenters. Attentive service, beautiful atmosphere and great wines. Will be one to return to on a future visit!

Everything was perfetto from start to finish. Staff. Food. Wine. Service. Atmosphere. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. This was exactly what we were looking for.
I’m sorry to say after great expectation, the food aspect of this restaurant disappointed: 1. Bread was not Fresh 2. Fish overcooked and lacked flavor 3. Pici was not al dente w/bland sauce lacking vibrancy of flavors 4. Lamb Shank prepared lovely, but tastes lacked earthy character.. Lovely touch w a start of Sparkling and amuse bouche from Chef.
A lunch of highs and lows. Highs include the wine list and the pigeon and foie gras and the egg nest. The lows, the vegetable tepanyaki and the Russian salad. Best to delete these from the menu, really poor!!
We had a wonderful experience here. The waiter seated us at the table by the open window. He helped us choose what to order and everything was delicious. We would highly recommend!!! Loved the glass of champagne. My food was excellent!
The tasting menu was a real disappointment. The chicken liver pate was nice. The risotto was bland, dry and chewy. I ate about half of it (and I normally never leave anything on the plate as not to insult the chef). The pork ribs had a strange taste, and every once in awhile tasted very strongly like soap (both me and my husband had this - I know for some people coriander tastes like soap, but we love it, so that wasn't it). The Cantucci biscuits served with zabaione and VinSanto wine were nice and the highlight of the dinner. Overall, for 60 Euro per person, it was extremely disappointing. We went to a similarly priced restaurant in Montepulciano and had a great dinner, we also went to cheaper restaurants where the food was much better.
Wonderful food and wine under the Tuscan Sun. From amuse bouche to post dessert an inspired evening. Best value for money Michelin restaurant we have ever eaten at.
Outstanding in all aspects. One of the most enjoyable restaurants we have visited. Excellent and interesting dishes, and the service was great.
One of the truly fine restaurants in Montepulciano. Each of our dishes, a shared starter, polenta with shrimp and mussels, a shared primi, pici in an aspergus and pecorino sauce, and two segondi, a lamb shank and a steak with spinach was exceptional, perfectly cooked and presented. They were well paced and came to the table at an appropriate temperature. Both the table and wine service were discreet and spot on. I asked for a bit of guidance with the wine, seeking a top drawer Brunello de Montalcino, and received excellent advice within the price range I specified. It far exceeded expectations, coming out of the bottle thoroughly enjoyable and opening up significantly during our two hour meal. The wine fell into the treat category, but I would certainly order it again. Truly excellent service.
Small intimate place with very attentive head waiter/sommelier. Extensive wine list. Had snails with artichoke followed by veal belly. Fair cost.
For the price, the food was just ok. Meat was all excellent, but the greens were undercooked and tough, and the spinach and ricotta pasta was nothing special. Plating was lovely, and service was good.
Excellent food and service. We especially enjoyed the extensive wine list. We did not indulge in desert but the options looked amazing there as well.
Extraordinary service and food! Best meal we had in Toscana in our 6 days in the area.
It was really great!
We had a great table on the little terrace.
As requested in our reservation, we were given a nice table by the window. The service was simply impeccable (our primary server was Ivan). The wine list was extensive and fairly-priced. Several special touches were provided (a glass of spumante right after seating, an artistic hors d'oeuvres, a tasty mix of breads). We ordered mostly the specials with black truffles, which were all consistently good. I am very partial to pici which was nicely done. Be sure to leave room for dessert and enjoy the flaming ball of chocolate filled with mascarpone and ice cream. We will return for lunch on our final day!
