About the restaurant Le Louvre Ripaille

"Not very far from the musée du Louvre in Paris, the restaurant Le Louvre Ripaille welcomes you in a classic and refined decor to taste fresh and varied French cuisine.

This is a gourmet dish that is rich in flavors that the chef of the establishment offers. The dishes will follow each other before you for the greatest pleasure of your taste buds! To start, let yourself be tempted by cannelloni of eggplant with fresh goat cheese or ravioli with rosemary cream. Then you will continue by duck breast and his sauce in wine accompanied by his cut vegetables or AAAAA sausage, its homemade mashed potatoes and mustard sauce the old-fashioned way. Desserts will not be left out, a true gourmet blast for the taste bud.

Le Louvre Ripaille is also a wine bistro, you can enjoy the wide choice of the cellar of the establishment that has more than 100 references of French wines. Coming mostly from the Loire, Côtes du Rhône and Languedoc-Roussillon, each of them will be enough to satisfy the wine-lovers that you are!"

Malheureusement, l'assiette était chaud mais le bouffe est arrivé froid après un attente de 60 minutes. Le poisson et le bœuf bourguignon-- immangeable. The waiter didn't tell us until 45 minutes after ordering that they were catering another event upstairs. That said, it didsn't excuse tired, tasteless bits of fish described as a "pave" or "boeuf bourginon" in which the red wine joined with the meat seconds before coming to the table. Staff seemed nice but couldn't deliver warm tasty food and never asked us about more wine or water for our meal. May be great for regulars but visitors to Paris may want to avoid.
Thank you for your message. We are really sorry for your bad experience. We will do our best to get better next time.

Loved this place. From the friendly service welcoming us in red sneakers at the door, to educated staff pointing us to allergy free selections, and wine recommendations, this was enjoyable from start to finish. We ordered the citrus scallops, roasted marrow, and eggplant on a fried egg to start, then pike and cockerel as the mains, and the raspberry cheesecake and chocolate mousse for dessert. They have both English and French menus which simplified ordering. And the meal was at a leisurely pace so plan on taking your time here.

Overall, an excellent meal from starters to desserts. I enjoyed one of the best seafood main dishes I have had - the salmon filet was superb in flavor and perfectly prepared with fresh vegetables and a side of sweet potato. Our entire group was very positive about their enitre meals as well. Highly recommend Le Louvre Ripaille and would definitely visit again.

We had an excellent meal tonight. My husband had the steak and I had the pork chop. Large portions with excellent sides. Our fried shrimp appetizer was just delicious and very unique. Perfect spot close to the Louvre.

Restaurant owner was fantastic; very welcoming and friendly. He generously left about a 1/5 of a bottle of red on the table which i had previously enjoyed a glass because "Sir may as well finish the bottle". I consider this to be very generous when he knew my partner and I were dining on a 50 percent off deal which was applied to the boll without having to be asked.

Food was homely and well prepared. It is not haute cuisine but very tasty. We had three courses, glass of red (plus free glass) and two glasses of champagne for €75 on a 50% off food deal. We would happily have paid full price - we left a €25 tip!!

Highly recommend.

Know what to get before entering, the waiter speaks english but not very well, therefore, I believe he understood some of my questions wrongly, and thus we settled on food that we did not intent to have. The starter was really good though, I had the prawn .
