8.5/10A truly French bistrot experience: traditional dishes, very large selection of wines by the glass, and extremely reasonable prices. A very good bargain, especially in this district.

9.5/10Have loved this restaurant since I first visited it in 2006 and had the best coq au vin in my life (note the menu is seasonal and this is a winter dish!). Visited twice again since then and tonight was consistent with my previous experiences which likely is why this lovely bistro has endured this long!

9/10Excellent food. Quite a buzz. It was a very hot night and the aircon was unable to cope but it was an unusual weather event . Staff friendly and we appreciated the chef seeking us out for a brief chat as we were leaving. Well worth a visit..

6.5/10We ordered two small Mesturet menu (main + dessert) and would not come back again. Main: The beef tartare with potatoes was good but the vegetarian choice consisted in a huge portion of bland squash pie without a specific flavour profile. The same issue of lacking flavour profile we had with desserts: for two French cheese lovers, the cheese platter was a huge disappointment. Out of a selection of 5 cheeses, only the camembert had a decisive flavour - the others were so mild that we had tastier ones from the local supermarket. The coffee gourmand consisted of three pieces of very mild but very sugary cakes. It is not sweetness alone that makes a cake good... On the bright side: our waiter was very kind and the overall atmosphere familiar.

10/10If you go to Paris you must come here! The service was really good and both our waiters were very friendly, you could tell they liked their job. The food was delicious and the portions were massive, really good value for money!

6/10The atmosphere was completely not right for a romantic diner: it's not really a restaurant, more of café/brasserie. The main courses were correct but far from inspiring, the desert (crème caramel) was plainly bad, as was the wine accompanying the meal. To make things worse, they billed us for two full “menus” even though we did not use them fully (unfortunately, we’ve noticed it only after leaving).

9/10Open non-stop for full meals. A plus in Paris. Friendly.
77, rue de Richelieu, 75002, Paris, France
"A typical Parisian Bistro, Le Mesturet, awarded the title of Maître Restaurateur, is housed in the Bourse and the Opera Garnier quarter.
Warm and original, the room is decorated with old stones, woodwork and second-hand objects, in a 'wine cellar' style, announcing a selection of good bottles in the menu and the slate to discover novelties throughout the year.
Traditional cuisine is prepared by chef offering grandma-style recipes. In the menu, the tartine of marrow, wine of Bordeaux and fleur de sel sauce, lamb of Bellac parmentier, compote of eggplant confit with fresh thyme or even fresh cod, steamed vegetables and confit olive oil from the domain of Léoube... Flavors and refinement!
The establishment has a lounge that can be partitioned in the evening for no more than 30 people with large LED screen and home theater."
