Everything that we expected from a good French restaurant was there. Parisian uniformed waiters, crusty baguettes, real French butter, cloth napkins, good wine, very good food, perfectly prepared (oysters, steak tartare, chocolate mouse) and well timed service. And the local French people filled the restaurant! A wonderful culinary experience, despite our limited, bad French.

Very good atmosphere in the décor and selection of local delicacies provided by this restaurant. Confit de canard, volaille and codfish were among our choice. All perfectly cooked and served.

My husband and I have been going to Noailles about 2x per year for 20 years, always when seeing a ballet/opera at the Grand Theatre. We go because of the perfect location, 7pm opening time, the wonderful ambience and traditional French cuisine. Until yesterday we have always eaten very well. Yesterday the chicken leg was slightly undercooked and so tough it was mostly left uneaten by two if our party of three. We were on a tight deadline so could not send it back, on paying I complained saying the chicken was awful and the waiter said how pleased he was! I repeated my complaint three times just to be given a charming smile.

The warm goat cheese salad was excellent. The filet of sole meuniere was ok. To me it lacked any interesting seasoning. The duck breast was somewhat chewy, and again, lacked any interesting seasoning.

Wonderful atmosphere and location. Outside dining feel yet enclosed by glass so weather is not a factor, and neither is smoking which we find disgusting at restaurants. Service was great and portions were better than expected. I had the tuna tartare appetizer while my wife had onion soup, both were excellent. We had the Canard ou poive and asked to be served medium. It was extremely rare yet good. We shared a bottle of a nice Bordeaux of course

Crazy busy place, but worth it. Delicious food and wines. Attentive service. Clearly a lot of locals eat here...not just we tourists. Not cheap, but elegant flavors...the chefs know what they are doing. Would visit again. Appreciate on line booking. A great place to spend the night in Bordeaux.

Where do I start Party of one and put me at the worst table by kitchen and bathroom. Many tables available Went over wine list with waiter and new nothing about the wines. We are in freaking Bordeaux I’m tired, can’t do all the details Good and services was terrible Only went to this joint because it open on Sundsy Restaurant is old and tired

I always reserve a night to lunch or dine there when in Bordeaux, it has always been a great old fashioned chic brasserie that never disappoints. The location is just the best, the ambiance is great, and do they know how to celebrate birthdays! From the professional yet caring service to the quality of every dish, this older Bordeaux institution has kept a young and dynamic image through the years. Classic, when done well, never fades. Go!

They lost my reservation from The Fork.. and were rude overall. Never said sorry and had a negative behaviour. In the end gave me the worst table possible near the WC. Food was OK but the service was the worst I have ever experienced
