Excellent food, service and ambience! Staff were very welcoming and warm, it made us feel at home and taken care of. The food portions are generous, and taste is delicious. The mushroom ravioli with cream sauce was fantastic! the beef steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were great! The lemon tart is fantastic! We are so glad we had this wonderful experience!
Cuisine authentique et copieuse. Respect du terroir, service impeccable. À recommander.
The food is good and healthy. With lots of vegetables. Very value for money.
Fabulous food - every dish for our group of six was really tasty, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, helpful and respectful and the atmosphere was warm and bustling without being too noisy. it was great to have such a high quality restaurant open on Sunday evening. Our guests, who live in Lyon, were very impressed with it and say they will, without hesitation, bring both friends and business colleagues here. And we will be back for sure on our next visit to Lyon.
I am pregnant and we went to this restaurant to celebrate and share a good time with our parents who live far away and they travel tomorrow. We don't use to eat that much, so we thought we could ask for 3 dishes to share between all of us (4 people) however, the person who took the order was very rude, we explained to her I was pregnant and that was the reason because I could not eat that much and she said I had to order a dish even if we don't eat much because we were 4 adults so we had to order 4 dishes. It is the first time we have been in a restaurant like this, this persons also was in a hurry, pushing us to order very quick. Not at all good experience to be honest because at the end I was sick for eating that much and we could not enjoy the lunch as we wished. Also, We had to leave a salad that we ordered but we did not want it. It was too much!
The manager is nice to explain menu in English. Also she could speak a little Mandarin which makes me feel interesting. Although there is only one person eating, the service is still good. The food is nice and yummy!
Nice restaurant. Good food, large portions, friendly service
The service is professional and very personal. If i would like the french traditional cuisine i would go there every night. Dessert was awsome!!!
What a restaurant!!. If you are in Lyon on business or pleasure you MUST visit. The food was outstanding as was the excellent service.
Huge tasty dishes...
Une viande de grande qualité, rapport qualité prix parfait. Une très bonne adresse.
cuisine Lyonnaise, cadre convivial, une excellente adresse pour un repas en famille dimanche midi !
The food was excellent!
A nice French brasserie. Portions are big so come hungry. They do a very good Salad Lyonaisse. All our mains were hearty and full of flavour.
This is one of the few restaurants that is open on Sunday night. Although it is not in the centre of Lyon we decided to give it a try and so glad we did. It specialises in home-made foie gras and yes it is so smooth and succulent. Other more classic dishes are up to standard. Staff were very attentive and explained every single dish in English - probably because it was not particularly busy. Overall we were very pleased with the experience and would recommend particularly if you like your foie gras.
Excellent food and quality service. The staff was attentive and friendly. We were even offered a taste of a local liquor as we waited for our coats!
The food (especially the Quenelles) and the wine were was very good, but what made the meal special was the attention provided and friendliness of the owner and staff. We are not French speakers and despite this felt right at home. You will leave hungry!
Best meal I have had in France - I had the duck leg and my friend had a chicken dish. Great wine, nice setting, and the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating to us not speaking French.
Adresse a retenir, on y retournera!!
La Pailleron, if you are from outside of France, you should go, or if you are from France, I bet if rings true to your heart. The dishes are are traditional both in style and flavor, and I mean that in the greatest kind of way. This is exactly the place I was hoping and expecting it would be. It was traditional French cuisine done very well. From the foie gras to the chicken in morel sauce, it was delightful. Lets discuss the front of the house service, the owner, who does not speak English, was still warm and nice. There were four front of the house people who were all very nice and engaging to ensure all people are happy. The ambiance is so spot on for this kind of restaurant. The talking was loud by the guests and the laughing even louder; so what I would want and expect from a place like this. It warmed me to my soul to see everyone truly enjoying themselves, everyone enjoying one another, even the servers were laughing and joking with the guests on a late Sunday evening.
Very tasty dishes but quite expensive, even with the reduction
Au top !
