We went for a birthday treat and were not disappointed. The restaurant was busy, but everything was beautifully cooked, presented and served.

A pleasant evening's dining with superb food and a remarkably good wine list served by friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I was looking forward to this restaurant given all the positive reviews, but I thought that the dishes were very uneven. The cassoulet was delicious, as were the carpaccio of magret and selection of desserts. But the other dishes didn't strike us as being particularly special. Although everything was ok, I thought that the flavours were somewhat bland, with the fish being heavy on the butter/oil and vegetables a little over-cooked. There is a weekday lunch prix fixe menu that is probably excellent value. We opted for individual dishes and the higher priced menus, and although it wasn't cheap, it definitely wasn't the treat we had hoped for. That said, the staff was very friendly and inviting and decor quite pleasant.
