Terrific restaurant. Wonderful service with calm, efficient and bilingual staff. Outstanding food - fresh, homemade, how you imagine Provençal food would be. Beautiful setting.

We had a delightful meal at Le Petite Cafe. The service from start to finish was great - we had booked on line which was a good idea as the restaurant was full. We sat outside - the owners had rearranged the terrace a little with all umbrellas up to allow us to as the weather was not perfect and we were pleased we did as it is really pretty. The food was also great - served in good time - not rushed at all but never waiting for the next course and each course was lovely. We would definitely recommend going for a desert as they were particularly delicious.

Lovely place, exactly what you expect from a regional restaurant. A bit difficult to park the car, but the service and the food are worth the effort

We visited Le Petit Cafe last year and had a lunch menu. Revisiting the area this year we knew we had to go again - so we booked Friday evening in advance. The food was great, we were just as pleased as we were last year. Great way to finish the holiday. We will be back again.

A very charming outdoor patio with a marvellous view in the heart of Oppede-le-Vieux. Excellent sea bass with fingerling potatoes and green salad, as was a very flavourful hamburger with pesto and goat cheese.

We ate inside as it was a cold November day, but the restaurant is in a lovely village setting, with a great ambience.
The food was excellent & I would recommend the delicious Panier de Provence which we shared between four of us, as our starter. A perfect Sunday lunch in a beautiful Provencal setting, what more could you ask for. Thank you.

A fabulous little restaurant hidden away in the beautiful, old hilltop village of Oppède Le Vieux . It has a wonderful ambiance, fresh, delicious provencale cooking, good wine and very friendly service. The speciality Panier des Saveurs Provencale is wonderful to start, sharing a mixed plate of tapenades, roasted peppers, roast crushed aubergine, artichokes, courgette gespacho and melon. We followed this with the vegetable lasagne and the mixed seafood of squid, prawns and calamari on a bed of courgette spaghetti and potatoes. Both were bursting with different flavours and so good we could have eaten more. Then followed Tiramasu and tarte Tropisienne, again delicious, the latter the best we have ever tasted. The dinner was complemented by a glass of champagne for my wife, rosé for myself followed by a pitcher of Rosé - all for €116, Parfait ????

We have eaten in many restaurants in Provence and this is our favourite - no better way to enjoy a long, leisurely lunch in a truly relaxed French atmosphere.

The burgers (Charolais beef) were, according to the Americans in our party, the best they had ever tasted. That’s some compliment, coming from the home of burgers! Those of us who had the daurade royale were equally enthusiastic. We also loved the desserts - or at least the two we tried... panna cotta (exquisite) and tiramisu (great balance of flavours). The little square where the restaurant is located is soooo pretty. We sat outside in a great atmosphere. Never mind that it rained half way through the meal - it made for great fun as everyone scurried inside. Everyone was cheery and kind. What a great vacation experience.

This is a very special place that my husband and I went to for lunch. Lovely atmosphere, very pleasant service and delicious food for a very fair price. We would definitely come here again and maybe try dinner.

That was our decade-long dream to get to Provence once in our lifetime.
We drove 2 days, did hundreds of miles.
Detailed assessment of our experiences is not the subject of this entry.
Anyway, “Provence feeling” cannot be complete without testing the original Provencal cuisine. Ok, let us check the net; after a thorough study the Petit Cafe was selected. We sat down with great excitement. And then the absolute disappointment came.
The ingredients, the flavours, the serving was all lousy.
I was sad rather than angry. We left without saying a word. It was our first and last restaurant meal in Provence. Shame on them.
