About the restaurant Le Petit Colbert

"BISTRO SPIRIT - A small craving during your visit to the Opera quarter? Be seated at the restaurant Le Petit Colbert: Parisian troquet decor and hushed atmosphere, brasserie-style menu and roguish recipes way for appetites of the 2nd arrondissement of Paris.

RETRO DISHES - Here, one fills up with tradition: homemade duck foie gras or onion soup, cod steak or organic salmon cutlet, beef tartare or pepper steak. In terms of desserts, the menu presents vacherin iced with raspberry or a cake with chocolate and nuts...

A THEATER? - Very close to the théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens, here is a restaurant, which you can rely on for a friendly after-show meal and a relaxing atmosphere."

Overpriced compared to food and service. Atmosphere was not the best one. Deserts were ok.

Disappointing onion soup and steak. Duck and escargot much better. Staff misinterpreted order but forced our friend to eat the kidney even though he didn't order it.

Great restaurant to enjoy quality cusine. Try the cheese platter, the beef tartar and the cheesecake. They were all amazing.

We dined alone in the dining room. Came at 7:30 and left at 8:30. There were people drinking and eating outside where they could smoke. My fish was good , but my husbands veal was tough. Dessert, floating island was good. Just thought it wasn't up to par with other places we've been to.

Quaint yet elegant setting. Off the Main Street so not a tourist trap. Recommended by the hotel concierge for a good reason. Food was excellent, particularly the French onion soup. Waiters were attentive and sis not mind we arrived 20 minutes till close. They made us feel welcome and did not rush is out...leaving 40 minutes past closing. A great value too as the meal was quite reasonable for its superb quality. Highly recommend to anyone staying near this restaurant.

fantastic meal, one of best in France. Canard de Confit was excellent as was my wifes 4 fish combination dinner, great sevice, make reservations or you won't get in as a walk in. Small restaurant with small menu which we have found makes for the best combination over large noisy brasseries type restaurants.

We'd been here a few years ago and went back anticipating the same fine restaurant. We were very disappointed in how far down this restaurant has gone. Tough steak and dry chicken. Whew. Almost any sidewalk bar is better in Paris. It's off our list for good.

Good higher end bistro - short and well executed menu and a solid wine list. Used EUR 31 menu... fresh salmon, well cooked duck+potatoes and an affine cheese plate plus excellent Sancerre and Bordeaux. Only slight disappointment was my wife's melting chocolate desert that didn't melt when cut. still tasted great though....
