Le Petit Verdot

The food and wine was delicious! Very traditional and cozy place! We really enjoyed the atmosphere. My favorite dish was the vegetarian soup with chestnut and nettle. The price is a bit expensive though!

Outstanding appetizers and spectacular main dishes that included 4 different types of meat that were prepared by long cooking to preserve great taste and soft texture (the only unusual thing is we all had the same side dish of mashed potatoes and root vegetable), just Ok desserts... Friendly and nice service, waiting time as expected from a top restaurant that prepares food from scratch. Overall, an expensive but great restaurant, definitely one of the best and a new favorite in Aix!!

What a great dining experience!! Went to this restaurant based on a recommendation and reviews on this website. Small but nice menu selection. We were welcomed (in English) and seated as soon as we walked in the door. Menu in English was presented and explained in detail. Wine recommendation was good. We all had different appetizers and they were all excellent. Two of us had Lamb Shank and one had the BBQ pork. All entrees were excellent! I saw the table next to us ordered the beef and I was jealous that I did not order that as I could tell it was cooked perfectly and tender!! You cannot go wrong here and the waiters will definitely take care of you. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!

It was an outstanding night with food and service over the top

A truly french restaurant very popular with residents. We enjoy eating in casual, local bistros where local clientele and tourists can both be happy. This restaurant, its staff and owner all made us feel truly welcome. The wine,, the food and the charm fulfilled all our wishes. For those who did not speak french, they went out of their way to clearly describe each menu item in english. We highly recommend this place. A reservation is needed on weekends.

We were looking for something authentically Provencal and Le Petit Verdot really delivered. The service was friendly and prompt. The selection of local wines was spot on. It as a lovely evening.

Amazing food, really special. It’s like homemade traditional dishes, but very delicious and interesting. Service is friendly and easy, sphere is cozy. Our local friends were surprised how not-touristic this place was. Choice of wines could be better, but still nice.

This restaurant DID NOT have our reservation— as was confirmed by the Fork!! I will stop using the Fork if you neglect to communicate with these restaurants. The owner here was nice and squeezed us in but it is no fun to rely on this reservation service When it fails to work!

Outstanding food, location & just as great, the attitude of the employees!

Great food with very fresh ingredients! The lamb is extraordinarily tender with in season vegetables so colorful and crisp. Nice choices across the board and an amazing wine list. The staff are all very friendly and happy to help navigate through French and English alike.

Excellent from start to the end

We enjoyed our evening. Nice ambiance. Excellent quality of food. Portions of meat adequate but uneven (small cut of filet of beef; large portion of lamb shank). Wine suggested by waiter was okay but not great considering the wonderful vineyards in the area.

What a great restaurant, so french ... the staff were warm, friendly and informative, and didn't bat an eyelid when we arrived with our two dogs. The menu was well balanced and the three dishes that I chose were wonderfully flavoursome, amd perhaps one of the most perfect meals that I have had in a long time! I will certainly visit again next time we are in aix!

Great atmosphere. The food was exceptional. I had the lamb and it was as good as the waiter suggested. I would definitely order it again.
