About the restaurant Le Pichet de Paris

BRASSERIE PARISIENNE - Situé entre la place de l’Etoile et le jardin des Tuileries, le Pichet de Paris vous invite à sa table. L’intérieur typique de brasserie parisienne, boisé et dans les teintes rouges, est à la fois chic et chaleureux. Les huîtres et autres fruits de mer sur l’étal faisant face à la rue vous mettront en appétit dès votre arrivée !

AU PIANO - Côté cuisine, le Chef Frédéric David vous propose une carte axée sur les produits de la mer préparés avec finesse et savoir-faire. Saint-Jacques en salades ou poêlées, rillettes de thon, saumon grillé… un véritable plaisir pour les papilles.

LA TABLE DES GRANDS - Pour l’anecdote : à cette brasserie venait s’attabler François Mitterrand. Aujourd’hui encore, les curieux auront peut-être l'occasion d'y croiser des personnalités politiques ou des médias.

We have had 2 very dinners here in the past. Tonight my duck was overcooked, and french fries while tasty were limp. The millefeuilles was creamy but tastless. The cod was excellent.

Don’t be fooled by the reviews or the lure of 30% discount!! This is a classic Parisian restaurant in a bad way- overpriced mediocre (at best) food. Service was ok; but not warm or welcoming. No smiles. First bad sign is place was empty, and 2nd, we ordered a bottle of French white wine, and it arrived labeled “Chardonnay”, which doesn’t make sense because the French don’t label their wines by the grape, like Americans. It tasted ok, but was still an obvious fake. My entree was listed as chopped mushrooms with olive oil and Parmesan came as a plate of sliced, raw mushrooms with a drizzle of oil and Parmesan. Who eats raw mushrooms?!? Fois gras for my partner was very good. My duck confit was a fried duck leg and thigh...good taste but dry. Confit is not supposed to be fried. Beef filet for my partner was ok, not great. We payed almos5 $150 WITH a 30% discount...which is crazy. Would not recommend. There’s a reason the place was empty..should have seen that first red flag.

The discount made this meal tremendous value.
3 of the 4 diners had sole which was delicious.
Wine Sancerre white and Brouilly were both excellent.
All in all a great evening

We have specially ordered an €88 medium rare T bone steak and we have remind quite a few times to the waiter that we want the steak medium rare , but finally when it was served , 50% of it over cooked to almost medium well and other 50% was at most medium , when we complain to the manger he said it was fine , saying that’s was the French way of medium rare , after intense and heated arguments finally he is only willing to take back 1/2 of the steak, that was really over cooked however we were only able to take a few bites of the steak that was not so overdone but it was because of tough and rubbery texture of the steak that we gave up and left . Although the Restuarant only charge us 1/2 of the steak but we the whole experience became such a disaster that we left the restaurant with an €145 bill and an 1/2 empty stomach , the manager never apologize at all

Fantastic! We were a party of 8 half of which were children. The staff was great, very accommodating, the food was excellent and the ambiance was friendly. We even took a photo with the photo of J. Keary and Mitterand. Thanks so much!!
