This was the most inventive dinner we’ve had in Paris, with a nod towards tradition but also with creative interpretations. Their foie torchon was outstanding but didn’t get our attention as much as what followed because *everyone* in Paris seems to do that well. Our plats were duck confit Parmentier with succulent deboned duck smothered in potato purée so good it blew our low-carb resolve and slow-cooked lamb that melted in the mouth and defied description as to its subtle spices. We wish the wine list had been more extensive but found a unique Merlot from the Basque region of France that paired well with our choices. Though our waiter seemed a bit cool to start, he was more friendly as the meal progressed. This was our first time in this cute, tiny place and we hope it won’t be the last.

The food was delicious and it is a nice quiet & cozy place for a late night meal. The only downside is that the restaurant did not honor the full discount noted on TheFork website. I was in touch with TheFork and they were great at addressing the issue with me. Hopefully there will be more consistency between the website and the restaurant moving forward.

The service and the environment were excellent. Very warm and relaxed. The quality of the food was very good. Particularly amazing was the dessert of mascarpone with apricots.

The chef made a special vegetarian plate for us that was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was funny, very attentive and helped us with our terrible French. Both the chef and the waiter spoke impeccable English. Highly recommended!

Another wonderful dining experience at Le Pot de Vins. The food was professionally prepared and the service was exceptional, you will absolutely love eating here. We sat outside and met other diners that felt the same as us. A must restaurant when in Paris.

a Very nice restaurant. Good services, but no English Menu, however, waiters are willing to translate the whole menu for you which is sweet. Foods are delicious, I ordered one steak and one goose BBQ. Both are fantastic, recommended!

The pork very little like my small nail and the beef steak with a lot of fibers. Very nice the starters. The dessert has sour strawberries, maybe many days in the fridge. Nice wines and atmosphere.

Plats excellents raffinés et originaux. Desserts corrects. Attention au vin servi : J'avais commandé un Morgon 2015 (millésime excellent) et après ouverture il s'agissait d'un 2017.... franchement pas terrible. Service d qualité

About the restaurant

"FRESHNESS CELLAR - halfway between a nice cellar and a gourmet bistro, Le Pot de Vins is a small corner of happiness to share on the side of the Palais Royal. Traditional small dishes prepared with love and simplicity can be devoured here, while drinking between buddies around a wonderful glass of wine. Your future HQ in the 1st arrondissement?

SLATE OF THE DAY - to delight your sensitive and hungry taste buds, the chef Stéphane Gatumel (formerly at the restaurant Le Tsé) composes market cuisine prepared exclusively with fresh products: marinade of mackerel or black pig terrine with apricots-figs, black squid ink risotto and white chocolate-pistachio mousse.

IT IS LIKED - wines to take home and the deli, the possibility to organize a private event."
