About the restaurant Le Reminet

If you take a detour from your stroll around Ile de la Cité, you will stumble upon the Parisian bistro Le Réminet, located across from Notre Dame and down the street from Saint-Michel.

Le Réminet is an experience in itself, made all the better if it's shared. In this warm and charming bistro, you have your choice between the converted cellar, ideal for romantic dinners, or the more lively main dining room with intimate tables, Baroque-era chandeliers, and large mirrors.

To cure you from the ordinary, the chef recommends a subtle dosage of traditional meets "nouvelle" cuisine.
Indulge yourself with a scallop shish kebab, tofu with black mushrooms, vermicelli soup, asparagus and mange-tout pea salad, candied lamb shoulder with Espelette pepper, coconut and green bean stew in garlic butter, or one of many other delicious dishes waiting to be discovered.

Food was not bad, but it was also not to remember. Service was perfect, and the worst thing was the size of the restaurant. Tables extremely close to the other, difficult to feel romantic when you hear those at the next table.
Perfect location.

The food was to die for, met every expectation. A small romantic setting, with attentive staff, a perfect evening to celebrate a special occasion or be it a nice dinner. French cuisine at its finest, the tell tale sign is a mix of locals and foreigners filling the restaurant in anticipation of great food, wine and cheese selected by the most highly ranked cheese judge in France. Will difinitely be re-visiting sooner rather than later. Not to be missed.

The roses and shimmering lights make this place ideal for lovers. The presentation of food is lovely while the food itself is OK.

Delicious dinner! Too bad there weren't more pescaterian options (or that more dishes couldn't be adapted for non-carnivores). Service was a touch slow, but competent. Merci Le Reminet et lafourchette!

I love this restaurant. Professional, caring service - all very attentive. Food was excellent, no problems. If I had only one suggestion it would be to not serve limoncello mixed with ice. It seemed watered down, as a result. I would prefer to have it served straight and in a chilled glass. :)

At 1300 on a Wednesday this restaurant is still packed. While this is a good sign for myself with elderly parents it proved a setback. I should have asked for a table on the ground floor as we were allocated a table in the the cellar at the back. It was very cramped. The service was good but we had to wait a long time for my Iberian pork dish to arrive. We were warned it took longer to cook so fair enough. All dishes were excellent apart from my father's entrecôte steak which was a bit tough. My parents also enjoyed people watching and were in awe at the waiters who carried three dishes at a time down the precarious stairs to the basement.

My brother and I loved the experience that we had in Le Reminet. Super delicious French food and nice service. We were travellers with no French ability, but they helped with English menu card. We took Foie Gras and Escargot for starter, Pork and Scallop for main course, those all were delicious. The dessert, chocolate mousse coated in chocolate roll, which was a little bit hard to eat for me. Overall was really nice and would recommend anyone else to give a try!

Had a very nice christmas lunch here - charming place, densely packed but didn't feel cramped thanks to the staff who were very attentive. Classical French cuisine, elegantly presented, delicate. Small note: both the white wines we ordered by the glass from the wine list were not available; but the staff was very helpful in recommending suitable alternatives.
