About the restaurant Le Reminet

If you take a detour from your stroll around Ile de la Cité, you will stumble upon the Parisian bistro Le Réminet, located across from Notre Dame and down the street from Saint-Michel.

Le Réminet is an experience in itself, made all the better if it's shared. In this warm and charming bistro, you have your choice between the converted cellar, ideal for romantic dinners, or the more lively main dining room with intimate tables, Baroque-era chandeliers, and large mirrors.

To cure you from the ordinary, the chef recommends a subtle dosage of traditional meets "nouvelle" cuisine.
Indulge yourself with a scallop shish kebab, tofu with black mushrooms, vermicelli soup, asparagus and mange-tout pea salad, candied lamb shoulder with Espelette pepper, coconut and green bean stew in garlic butter, or one of many other delicious dishes waiting to be discovered.

The food is really good. One lady host was so friendly and helpful, and the other waiter was not. We can TOTALLY sense how his attitudes are different between our table and other French-speaking tables.

We were there for 3.5 hours: wine was served after the entree when it should’ve been served during, mains came after other people’s, and the bill arrived 30 minutes after we asked for it. Adequate food but unfortunately poor service.

This is a lovely restaurant. We are group of four and we are arranged to seating in the cave (-1). The service is very good. He is able to speak fluent English and he did help us well with the menu. I chose tartar de salmon as the entree. But I don’t like the taste very much. The salmon is not really fresh and good especially with creamy sauce inside. The brioche is a bit hard. BUT I do like the main plate very much which is a fresh-water fish with the parfumé de pomme. I liked it very much. The fish is not too dry and the sauce is perfect with the sourness of apple and the sauce of pumpkin. The portion is quite big. The selection of wine is also very good. We chose a bottle of Bordeaux premier. The environment is very comfortable and relax with candles and fresh roses on the table.

The food was so exquisite and elaborated, with surprising combinations of flavours.
Specially the dessert, was incredibly amazing and so well balanced.
Also really love the ambience, with candles and red roses...

The cote de veau was excellent, especially when paired with a wonderful Grave vin. We will return.
