About the restaurant Le Reminet

If you take a detour from your stroll around Ile de la Cité, you will stumble upon the Parisian bistro Le Réminet, located across from Notre Dame and down the street from Saint-Michel.

Le Réminet is an experience in itself, made all the better if it's shared. In this warm and charming bistro, you have your choice between the converted cellar, ideal for romantic dinners, or the more lively main dining room with intimate tables, Baroque-era chandeliers, and large mirrors.

To cure you from the ordinary, the chef recommends a subtle dosage of traditional meets "nouvelle" cuisine.
Indulge yourself with a scallop shish kebab, tofu with black mushrooms, vermicelli soup, asparagus and mange-tout pea salad, candied lamb shoulder with Espelette pepper, coconut and green bean stew in garlic butter, or one of many other delicious dishes waiting to be discovered.

Used to be e xcellent but fare has change over the years. Many dishes now either raw or cooked rare. I had pigeon and it was bloody. The pork I enrico was fine but the blood sausage was horrible, raw like. The amuse vouch of asparagus and bacon soup was very good. Their charge CRS machine not working so we had to pay cash and thank goodness for the fort discount as it is expensive there. The waiter did welcome us s he recognized us fro prior times, plus offers us something to drink beforehand complimentary. There was a for some at nearb table and they were quite loud.. Americans. Well, we are too, but in Paris you must talk quietly. Not good manners. Beoufs! Plus they orders the lovely Laurent de bois cheese course BEFORE the plat! Not proper! Their choice, I know, but still. The banquette cushion was sagging, needed upgrading. Atmosphe very pretty. It needs some maintenance. They did call our hotel to sauna out the lack of electricity for their phone and credit card machine, so that was nice.

Outstanding! Best fois gras I've ever tasted w a delisiously paired chutney. We had veal tartare, fresh tuna, Iberian pork loin, and a luscious very white monkfish, followed by creme brûlée, Pavlova w apricots and superior gelato Trois flavors. Service very good and on a hot hot day. Le Cave,s AC was so welcome. 4.5 out of 5stars!

It was recommended by my friend. However, it isn't suitable for us, since many dishes that we ordered were mi-cuit , or unbearablely, raw. Maybe it is good for the local? We just cannot appreciate it. We should check the menu carefully before we go.

We had a lovely night at Le Reminet. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly! Although the 50% discount through Tripadvisor was very nice, we were a bit taken aback by the price of the food (Tripadvisor rates this restaurant as cheap -$- but we wouldn't consider 30-35 euros for a main as cheap as students ;)) Other than that, a lovely surprise in the heart of Paris!!

Le cadre est joli, raffiné et chaleureux, le service est soigné et les mets fins et succulents. Ce fut une vraie belle découverte et je reviendrai c'est sûr! Une excellente table à Paris.

Excellent all around service and food. The gentleman running the restaurant (owner?) met us at the door, sat us quickly and explained the menu. He even chose a wine for each of our dishes from entree through desert (very good choices!). We speak english, et petite Francias, and each waitstaff used a mix of languages which was also very helpful. I was pleased to see that this establishment did not allow smoking in the main dining room. I would whole heartedly recommend this establishment to everyone!
