7.5/10We enjoyed our lunch at La Mirande very much, and the service was fantastic. The food was creative, and the chefs technical abilities were well on display. As individual dishes, the food was very good, however the menu as a whole did not flow together as one would expect. The cohesiveness of the menu was not there to the level that one expects from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Overall, the food was very good, the service was exceptional, and the location/setting lovely and inviting.

10/10I’ve been traveling extensively recently and had a chance to visit quite a few fine restaurants. La Mirande is one of the best if not the best establishment among those. The menu is extremely thoughtful while playful, and is centered on letting the client enjoy fine ingredients, exceptionally prepared. The staff is friendly while professional. The sommelier does a fantastic job offering wine by the glass. Bravo Chef Florent and the crew!

10/10This was a wonderful lunch. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very attentive to our needs. Every dish was prepared delightfully. Our only suggestion would be to make it more clear that the Menu Animal was seafood heavy. It seemed more like Menu de Mar or Menu Land and Sea. I love seafood, but my husband was not the biggest fan because he doesn't enjoy seafood. (This is no reflection on the quality or creative genius of the restaurant). He tried everything, and it was nice to have new tastes. It was a beautiful presentation of the seasonal vegetables and wines from the region. I especially liked the morel mushroom with sheep brain. A true delicacy. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable experience. For English speakers, you helped us to truly get the essence of each dish. We appreciate the effort very much.

10/10It was a dinner like no other- and I mean that in the best way possible. Every bite was delicious and presented in creative and beautiful ways. The service was impeccable. The trip to the kitchen a bonus. The sommelier did an excellent job for us and stayed within our means. It was a memorable evening. I highly highly highly recommend you splurge on a meal here. Worth every euro!

10/10I really don't know how Michelin stars are assigned. Three days ago we ate at the three-starred L’Assiette Champagnoise in Épernay and overall everything was better at La Mirande. The service, especially the friendly and amusing (female) head waiter was tremendous and the '4 series' set menu was divine with many inventive dishes. Highlights included two of the three oyster preparations, salmon roe in a boudin noir shell and the closing savory dish pork, red rice risotto and foie gras tart. But then they kicked into gear with goat cheese three ways and a wonderful deconstructed strawberry rhubarb meringue tart. Lovely setting with a view of the walls of the Chateau Des Papes too. Michelin reviewers, this place is at least worth two stars, if not 3!

9/10My fiance and I just finished dinner there and I’m writing this while she’s brushing her teeth. Honestly…600 euros later after a 4 course menu and a couple of Bottles of wine….the food was good. Was it great? Not really. Half the dishes were so experimental they tasted like soap or straight up Christmas tree (pine). I asked a month in advance for a good table and they did give us the best table in the house. Hands down service was amazing and nothing less of a Michelin star. But the food…..there’s was this cheese dish…my wife and I stared at each other the whole time asking ourselves “what did this guy do to the cheese?”. That pretty much sums up the food. Sure there’s a focus on local ingredients but that’s easy to tout when you’re in southern France and not southern Brooklyn. Not to knock south Brooklyn. But the chef wasn’t looking to elevate the ingredient, he was looking to elevate himself. And quite honestly, it showed, in every single dish. I expect chefs to be narcissists and over the top avant-garde people. What I don’t expect is the chef to make an ingredient worse or worse yet—use the ingredient to make himself look good and not the ingredient to look better. Ultimately, the food was disappointing but the ambience and service made up for it. My wife and I are joking as I write this that we will forever remember this as the “Christmas tree dinner with things made of foam”….the food itself was entirely forgettable. The chef’s mistakes or missteps we will remember a lifetime. Thank you to all the service for making the experience wonderful even though the food was less than spectacular.

10/10It was probably the best lunch G and I have ever had..... and probably the most expensive. Every dish was exceptional and each a unique experience. We asked for wine pairings, and they couldn't be more perfect. We would definitely go back and indulge. Perhaps dinner next time.

10/10The team of La Mirande guided us through a real culinary dinner-excursion. We figured out a true culinary journey, not only because of the excellent fresh food but especially due to the creativity regarding the combination of fascinating, flavorful components. The service was excellent and extremely attentive. Although the staff had to wear their masks, they were able to convey a warm, hearty laugh with conviction. Great team, great service, great food - we will come back! Merci beaucoup, Caroline et Tobias
