About the restaurant Le Saint-Louis

We had a delicious meal that included a varied appetizer buffet including seafood and terrines, a dessert buffet ( the three we had—profiterole, chocolate mousse bar and new age apple pie)— were extraordinarily delicious. The “spit” lamb and pork were also very good. Our server was very kind and patient with our very poor French.

Charming, lovely atmosphere, and fantastic service. The proprietor is such a kind and warm woman, and she provided excellent service.

The appetizer buffet was amazing and extensive—so many options, from fish (shrimp, salmon, calamari salad), to a variety of charcuterie, to house made pâtés (my particular favorite). I had the main course of the daily roast. It was super tender. Finally? Fabulous dessert.

We visited the Restaurant many times in the past when we lived near DINAN.
Returning after nine years it was still very good food including historic buffet.
Highly recommend

We have just had another great evening at the Le Saint Louis. The food was superb as usual with plenty of choice. We chose the buffet as starter followed by lamb for main. The deserts are home made with several options.
The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and very welcoming.

Second visit this week and just as enjoyable as the first, on 25th June. a Lovely, discreet little Restaurant just off the town centre, with places for 20/30 covers and a delightful French Cuisine menu. There is a choice of 2 set menues, each with a choice of dishes, which change/are up-dated on a daily basis, and an à la carte menu with quite a selection also. Seating is available inside or outside in a delightfully secluded and shady little courtyard.
Quite an extensive Wine and Drinks menu also.
The delightful lady on front service, forgive me but I have lost your name, made us very welcome and we even had a delightful meeting downtown during the week . . . the Scotsman who forgot his wallet ;-) . . . she could not have been more friendly and helpful. Ask her - she'll tell you the story :-))
Prices are on par for good high class cuisine, but certainly NOT extortionate.
Well worth a visit (or two) but we would recommend booking . . . it gets very busy, even mid-week too
