7.5/10I wanted to love this place - the writing is amazing although the room they put us in had no sun shades and for the first half hour it was very uncomfortable. While the food tasted “ok,” the whole approach was unimaginative. Just three courses, chef’s tasting menu - and course one and two were both fish. There was no amuse-bouche from the chef which seems odd for this caliber restaurant - the whole meal felt off a bit. Dessert course was lemon and very tart - not well balanced. To top it off, five of eight people at our table were sick (gastrointestinal) later in the evening after dinner. That turned the whole experience very negative and it makes me wonder what the kitchen and food storage conditions are like. Overall disappointing dinner and giving it a 7.5 rating is generous, but the staff was attentive so the score lands there for that reason.
