The food was very good. My compliments to the chef. The night started very well and I was already surprised by the quality of the restaurant. Until the wine - we ordered a wine that I thought would be appropriate for us after consulting with the host. The first glass was fantastic. Then, one of the waiters came to pour more wine in the glasses and switched by mistake our wine. We told him and he realized he made a mistake. He emptied our glasses and poured wine again. Unfortunately, it was the wrong bottle yet again. Mistakes can happen and I would have accepted an apology and moved on. However, the "maitre d'hotel" insisted that is the same wine and that the wine after breathing has another taste (great wisdom). I tasted the first and second bottle after the same number of seconds. But, he dismissed me as a non-connoisseur. I think I know, if not more, at least the same as he does about wines from that region. His stubbornness and arrogance were silly. Even my wife and son realized it wasn't the same wine.

Overall, the service by manager was excellent while the othe staffs were not. The cuisine wasn't as good as a top level restaurant should be. Just a little bit surprised when a manager and his wife started their supper on the table where the customers had finished their dinner while other customers, nearly half, were still enjoying dinner.

Be careful of the walk. The street is very steep and uneven. There is another way in however but you need to scout the area in advance to figure it out. It’s worth the trouble and it’s a first rate restaurant

Lunch service at Le Tertre was fanstastic! We had the gastronomic menu for €50 a head which got you 3 courses, an amuse-Boucher and some sweets to finish. The music was great and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. I had the langoustine to start which was light, fresh and like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. It was my favourite dish. My partner had the beef for main and the chocolate fondant for desert and I have never seen him enjoy food more. This place will please everyone who goes there with good hearty French food and generous servings too. We will be back next time we’re in Saint Emillion with our family and will be asking to dine in the wine cellar ????

I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 16 years now. It is simply fantastic. The owners are beautiful people and all the staff provide excellent service. The food is consistently great. It's one of my favourite places to visit. The setting, the food quality, the service and the value for money - parfait!

We loved the food, wine and ambience
The owners were extremely helpful with our 4 month old baby. This was a return visit for our family after 10 years and the atmosphere and quality of food is as we remembered. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Excellent service and lovely food. Good wine list as you’d expect. We went for a set menu which offered a good range of choice. Fish was succulent and beef was a good texture. Worth a visit although pricey.

It better to save your money for another resturant. The taste of the food was avarage, small dishes. The dissert was bad. The wine was exellent.

Very arrogant Maitre D, robotic staff afraid to move under his beady eye, over priced restaurant, food was good but definitely wouldn't go back. Service was terrible, asked for bread, Maitre D snapped that it was in the oven. Waited I don't know how long for salt as my meal wasn't correctly seasoned... so not worth a visit.
