About the restaurant Le Tournebièvre

The service here is very good. Great suggestions for our young kids. The food was good. My wife did not like her salmon as, while well cooked, she said it was bland. The dessert was very nice.

Waiter was quite rushed taking care of everything so his running past repeatedly was a distraction. Pate was delicious but duck a bit dry as per previous reviews I noticed. As with previous reviews, the chocolate fondant was excellent. You are across river from
Notre-Dame but unless it’s warm
And you are outside you won’t see it from your table.

This is an excellent choice for gluten-free diners. The food was fantastic and almost everything was gluten free. The chocolate lava cake (gluten free!!) was amazing!!

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to is Paris. The food is amazing, it’s a decent price for the location (view of Notre Dame) and food. The menu is small but all the dishes my friends and I ordered were very good asking with being good portion sizes - no one left hungry! The waitress that was working spoke English very well and was very attentive, more so than most European restaurants. The restaurant is very small, probably 10 or so tables when the outside portion is closed and we saw many people be turned away for lack of a reservation - so I’d say a reservation is a must for this place. Overall, I’d eat there again in a heartbeat!

Amazing service. The waitress was really helpful and suggested wines to compliment our dishes. If it is quiet when you go, do not be put off, the French eat a lot later than English people and the service more than makes up for it being a little quiet earlier on. 100% would recommend

Excellent main courses - perfectly cooked steak de poivre and wonderfully tender beef cheeks with a fine risotto. A luscious Opera de Tournebievre to finish. All well-served plus a gracious drop-in by the chef.

I've been a few times before and the last time was only a few weeks ago. It was very good then and so decided to go back with a friend from overseas. It was, in both of our views, outstanding in every way. The cooking is a spin on traditional French food, with getting silly about things. Family business, chef owner, great venue almost opposite Notre Dame. Perfect.

It's always been a little neighbourhood gem and I used to live a 2 minute walk away. So it was a regular. I no longer live in Paris and went back to see how it is faring. The answer is; even better than before. The food is very French, but really innovative. The wine list is remarkable for a small place and there's a good selection by the glass. The service was fast and very welcoming. And given that the tables at the front have a spectacular view of Norte Dame, it all makes for an enjoyable occasion.

Arrived on a damp, rainy evening and were promptly welcomed. Hostess was printing daily menus and they were delivered quickly. My wife had the fish soup which she said was delicious, followed by the duck confit. She doesn't eat much duck, but said it was very tender and delicious. I had catfish which came out like a bouillabaisse. It contained finely diced vegetables and nice chunks of fish. For dessert we shared a Cassolette of chocolate (55%) fondant. It was delicious! The menu is somewhat limited, but given the choices we made I believe everything would be wonderful.
