As usual beautiful atmosphere with good lighting and interior decoration. The special offer only applied to the couscous and tagine dishes, but the latter were of excellent taste. The house wine was very drinkable. I have now been through the entire tagine menu. I will be returning soon to sample other dishes next time. This is my local eatery as I have only recently moved to this area so I can report that after numerous times I have dined here, the standard of the tagines remain high.
The waiter was extremely rude and condescending...He pointed the meals on special..We understand the prix fixed menus are not included. When we ordered an appetiser he yelled they are not included...we explained that we understood and would pay the full price. We ordered the pate and another scolding that this item was not available. With extreme contempt he turned the blackboard around pointing the the available items that evening. We asked for water and had to ask 3 times. Up to the time we finished our appetiser and bread we had not received the water. I proceeded to drink water from a small bottle I had with me. He yelled at us for the third time that evening telling us we could not consume our own water. My friend who spoke French reminded him that he had not brought the water and he said right away and yet proceeded to check messages on his phone while we waited for the water. I poured another glass of water from my bottle and he got upset this is when he brought the water. The food was amazing..very tasty. All of us wanted to go back to this restaurant for the food. The waiter changed our minds.
We really enjoyed this restaurant so returned a week after our first experience. Service was great the lamb tangines were again exceptionally presented and very tasty. We highly recommend them
We had tagines, which were excellent! I cannot say the same for the cous cous I had last week. House Bordeaux wine was good. The restaurant was full and it was a week day. The single waiter managed to whizz around us all.
Nice couscous and tagines as mentioned by previous reviewers. Ambience is standard for french brasserie. Desserts are the weak point (pre-made, not too nice). With LaFourchette offers this is good value for money!
This is now my third visit and the Tagine I had was excellent as was the wine once it warmed up. So they have maintained their good standard.
I planned this second visit to go alone and the food was as good as before. I had a glass of Boréaux, which arrived chilled so I let it warm up and oxidize and it became very drinkable, better than most house wines I have experienced recently. Finishing with coffee this came to a very reasonable costing meal. Friendly staff and atmosphere good as a birthday party group of 10 enjoyed themselves. I will have to resist from coming too often.
Only the couscous and tagine dishes were part of the 50% offer and not the rest of the menu, but the tagines we had were excellent! I was pleasantly surprised at the standard as I was not expecting it. Next time I will try their wine list, but food on offer was good. I will certainly go again soon as one of the few places wround me that is open in Paris in August.
Very rude male waiter - fortunately female waitress was very nice. Get rid of male waiter, very unpleasant man and ruins a very nice place to eat.
tagine et couscous excellents ,et une tres belle entrecote
First waiter was nice. Couldn’t get a smile from the second who took over. Food was really quite good.
Great food and excellent service.
Food was good, but service bit slow. We were welcomed by woman who even didn't know where the menus were.. I assume she was someone's friend there not actual waitress. A little confusing was making the order from blackboard, because we don't speak any French and they couldn't translite us (Google helped), nobody didn't give the real menu to us where was already translation in English. And we saw the menu after we have ordered.
Un excellent couscous !!!
