About the restaurant Le Wagon Bleu

"UNUSUAL TRAVEL - Dinner in a former wagon of the legendary Orient express, do you feel like it? Well, this is possible at Le Wagon Bleu! Treat yourself to a trip in space-time in this restaurant in an atmosphere full of history, in the 17th arrondissement!

ON THE PLATE - At the table, you have the choice between bistro cuisine and dishes with Corsican influences. The chef concocts simple and exquisite dishes such as the beef tartar, butcher's choice or duck breast. And if you want a bit of sunshine in your dishes, opt for the tapas menu, with cheeses and meats coming straight from the Île de Beauté.

CORSICAN COAST - The masters of the establishment welcome you with a smile and a good mood! And if you want to take a full-bodied specialty home, the corner shop will fill you up."

Quaint restaurant, lovely service. Only 1 item available for vegetarians, However, it was delicious. My partner had the pasta with squid and he wasn't too impressed. It's a lovely charming place with great service.

Staff were friendly but is really a bar rather than a restaurant, very basic food.

The food was really good, the waitress was very good and tried so hard to help us the best she could as we speak no french at all. Really the only let down of the evening was that we were expecting traditional tapas style dining when we opted for the tapas. Instead of the dishes coming out at random whenever they were ready according to the chef, they came out all at once and our table was not big enough for what we had ordered. But the atmosphere, the quality of the food and the setting all made up for that.

Fun , interesting interior. There was a Corsican singer who was really good and added to the atmosphere and enjoyment. Food was fresh, they were very accommodating in creating an later native dish due to allergy. Prices were very reasonable for Paris.
