Great restaurant with very friendly staff prepared to help with questions about the menu. The descriptions on the menu under-described the wonderful food, which was both traditional and different. We felt the signature egg 'carbonara' would have been better with some more strongly flavoured bacon, but the parmesan sauce was certainly punchy. The fish main course was sublime, but the lamb a little disappointing as there was only a small portion of edible meat, however the merguez sausage lifted it. Wines were delicious but compared to many Parisian bistros, they were overpriced.

Stopped in because it was next door to where I was staying and was just blown away. The egg served a la carbonara was simply amazing—as were the tortelli and the vacherin. Perfect ingredients, perfectly prepared. And staff who were very patient with my lack of French! A real delight.

A really good place, with very reasonable prices for lunch at a gourmet restaurant. You can't make a mistake if you go. Don't expect the laundry list of dish poorly mastered: here, the menu is concise, the dishes, perfected.

It was one of my best food taste experience . Apart from the fact that the restaurant inside looks old and not so well decorated, the staff and the food elevated the quality. Without doubt one of the best in Paris!

Absolutely excessive prices. Definitely beware that the menu options on La Forchette are set up to be confusing. There are no discounts offered on Sundays, for example. The food was nowhere near exceptional enough to charge anything close to what we paid. €124 for LUNCH for two people without drinks!?!?? Insane, especially when there are so many much better restaurants in the area. I love very close by and can confirm that even The cafe across the street has a lovely terrace and two can eat for 1/4 the price. Shocking. To get to the quality of the food, the entrees were passable but not so interesting. The plats were mixed with one bring good (but still small) and the other super confusing (said it was agnolotti, but we’re actually 3 ravioli?) as it was essentially pasta filled with bologna pieces covered with raw mushrooms. Not good. Finally, the desserts were both subpar. Finally, beware. The menus in English and French don’t match, with differences in ingredients listed, so recommend using both menus if you want the full picture.
