We walked into an empty quaint restaurant that soon filled with happy customers. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and personable, even as busy as they had become. Our dinners: fish soup and sea bass, were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fish in both dishes was so tender and the broth of the soup was delicious down to the last bite, not too salty and layered with flavor. Both were more than ample servings for the price. Don't skip the dessert. Our pear topped cake, "Pear Financier, was the perfect ending paired with port.

Located in a nice area of Paris. Excellent food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere. Small cozy restaurant so you need to reserve in advance. Highly recommend.

A delightful experience. Perfect waiters offering excellent and traditional dishes with no pretence or flashy additions that some restaruants use to hide subpar food. We were a party of three and we all loved it.

This restaurant is very good. A very pleasant welcome. The winecard is very interesting.. The overall price was very nice, old times I think. I hope it will stay like this. Nice place , good food. The two men are looking after you. The Marais is the place to be!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food at Les Bougresse. The presentation was delightful and was one of the better tasting meals in this price range that I've had in Paris. It would have been perfect had we not felt like we were being a nuisance by asking for some explanation regarding the menu. It is also a tad cramped and we had to look for and retrieve our own coats that had been hung earlier. However, I would still be inclined to return as we really enjoyed our meal.

We had a delicious fixed price meal. We both had herring for starters, then followed by ravioli with a truffle sauce for me - amazing and my husband had a pork chop which he said was very tasty. For dessert I had crème brûlée and he had mi cuit chocolat. Both very nice. The restaurant was very attractive but I marked 4 out of 5 for ambiance as it was very busy/cramped and rather noisy. But a very attractive space. Thank you.

What a great find. These small intimate restaurants are hard to find a reservation for tourists because we come for few days, maybe a week or so, and they are usually booked up. We fortunately were able to get this one. And wow! The food was really really good. Service was superb and they speak good English. Not pricey. Great quality and tastey dishes. We have 5 people so we pretty much tried everything. For $28Euros, you get an appetizer, main entree and a full size dessert. No wonder it’s hard to get an reservation. Would definitely go back again when back in Paris.

Great prices, with generous portions. Waiters were helpful and the menu had English translations for all dishes. Food quality was excellent and flavorful, and the small restaurant was intimate and cozy.

What a great surprise. The restaurant does not look like anything special from the outside except a quaint, local place. Menu is not overwhelming but the food was outstanding. Service was excellent-very attentive and spoke very good English. We arrived at opening for dinner, and it was packed by the time we left (Tues Eve). It wasn’t very touristy (which we preferred). We were pleasantly impressed! Would return.

I last ate at Les Bourgresses in 2018 and came back twice that visit because I enjoyed the meal so much. Ever since then I have been raving about how this is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Paris and I still dream about the ravioli. This is my first trip back to Paris since 2018 and I was so happy to see that Les Bougresses stood the test of time amidst Covid and I was quick to find time to visit for a meal. I'm happy to report that the everything was just as perfect and lovely and delicious as it was four years ago. I was truly in raptures over every part and so was my friend who was with me and visiting for the first time. The intimate ambiance of the restaurant combined withe perfectly executed dishes and warm and attentive service almost made me want to cry. It was just like I remembered and even better in some ways with my more tenured age. All of this to say, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It is the perfect down home experience with simple yet incredibly savory and rich dishes. The service is generous and welcoming and you will never want to leave. I promise.

Rude and impatient staff, poor attitude It was my family’s first night in Paris. When we first saw the menu and asked what gazpacho was, his reply was extremely curt and dismissive, “gazpacho is a soup, it says right there in the English translation”, acting as if we couldn’t read and were mindless foreigners. We ordered 3 entrees: gazpacho, fish tartar and mussels and thought foie gras was just an additional slice we could get for an extra €3 (turns out it was a separate entree but we misunderstood ). So when the bill came, they charged us for 4 entrees and we were confused and tried to clarify the misunderstanding calmly, “we just want to u understand”. Despite this, the waiter was immediately extremely defensive and started yelling at us “You ordered 4 starters” and counted his fingers counted his 4 fingers aggressively and with the utmost impatience, rolling his eyes and sighing like we were some dumb foreigners.

Loved this small cozy restaurant. Heard about it on TA forums and decided to give it a go. Wow, was not disappointed. Small intimate cute ambience. Very attentive service - you can tell that love what they do. The food was outstanding! I had fish tartare, cod and chocolate cake; my husband had pasta, hangar steak and crème brûlée. We ate every last bite! The wine selection was small but excellent and very reasonably priced. The first time I have actually seen a server smell the wine and take it away and get another bottle. Wish we were here longer to go back! Highly recommend.

Food was excellent - I got a perfectly cooked steak, my wife got the ravioli. Both are recommended although the gnocchi is served in a cream sauce - so if you’re looking for a red sauce, look elsewhere (this is not a knock against the restaurant - it was served properly as detailed in the menu). The wait staff was okay, but they seemed short-staffed or overwhelmed by the room (2 servers for around 30 guests). Several times we asked for water that eventually arrived. The restaurant was also overwhelmingly hot despite it not being as warm outside- a few fans is all they need to make a big improvement. Table was ready when we arrived - which was a huge help (thanks to TheFork!). Diners are seated immediately next to other tables with barely any room between tables. The seems to be common in Paris, but given the heat and lack of water it was a bit stifling.
