Wonderful experience in every way except price of delicious ????. wine. Food created lots of ohhs ahhs and yums it was amazing, fresh and new recipes were appreciated. Staff were attentive, knowledgable and funny at times in a relaxed atmosphere where guests on other tables introduced themselves and conversed in jovial conversations. I had a lovely memorable birthday lunch. We will be back.

One of our top meals in France, including Paris. Unexpectedly exquisite and highly recommended. The best service we've had in the area and, while a bit pricey, the wine was excellent.

We came two years ago during Covid and were thrilled, so had to come back again. The service is absolutely superb. You cannot fault it in any way at all. You choose between 3, 5 and 7 courses, say what you can’t or don’t eat and then the chef surprises you. He certainly surprised us - we went for the 5 course option but were constantly tempted with little treats in between courses, and then finished off with petit fours and wondrous home made chocolates. It isn’t cheap, but food of this quality and such attention to service detail shouldn’’t be cheap. The chef came round each table afterwards and i was glad to thank him for such a gastronomic delight!

I love this restaurant. If you like fine dining, exquisite food beautifully served you will also love this restaurant. We always have the 7 course degustation menu and it never fails to delight. Really interesting flavours and perfect portions. the highlight on this trip was the pigeon. The best I've ever eaten, served rare and yet so tender. The best restaurant in the Dordogne area . Each year it gets better and better. Go there

From start to finish the whole dining experience was spectacular. Daniel and his front of house team were warm, welcoming and very attentive. The food and wine were superb - a great match, we met the chef and told him how impressed we were. The sommelier was so knowledgeable and her English was very good. The setting was amazing we sat on the terrace overlooking the lake, honestly you have to dine here you’ll absolutely love it

Excellent in every way. Very fancy location (French castle surrounded by a golf course), nicely decorated dining room. The service was from beginning to end impeccable, not to loose, not to formal. Dishes of exceptional quality with nice (sometimes hidden and sometimes very subtle) flavors. We paired the menu with a wine menu - and this added nicely the various courses. For example the white wines were all different and each one supported the theme of the actual course. As we recently bought a house in the region, they will see us more often.

We have had a wine chateau here in the Bergerac area for the past 16 years. Les Fresque is our absolute no 1. priority for the entire area and we have been there at least 6 times over the past couple of years. The chef is creative and fantastic and the service is beyond professional. The chef of course visit each table after the meal. It is a marvelleous place. Also the surroundings and wine selection is tip-top. We can only warmly reccomend Les Fresques, the hotel, spa and their wine.

Truly exceptional. We had the 7 course menu and had the sommelier choose the wines per course. Every course and wine were perfectly matched. We had 4 people attend to us. The sunset view thru the large doors was a nice addition. Our best meal and wines in our 8 days in France.
