An animated atmosphere filled with local patrons and what seemed to be a usual crowd of students. Service was prompt and amicable, the manager was very friendly and professional.
I would highly recommend the salmon tartare and the bavette of beef all were fresh and correctly prepared.
I would recommend .

Delicious Bistro food
I arrived in Paris on a Sunday and as many restaurants were closed, I decided to book Les Rupins @ 6.30pm when they offer 50% discount on the al-la-carte menu.

The service was very quick, and the food was amazing - I chose the “MUSETTE” (Thinly sliced parmesan cheese covering parma ham and salad leaves from the main menu.

After that, from the slate of the dishes of the day (Sunday 29/09/18) I ordered the SALMON in a creamy sauce, basmati rice and fresh vegetables (snow peans, green beans, broccoli, carrots, etc).

The veggie burger was very yummy: nice patty and good fries. The moelleux au chocolat with Kinder Schokobons was a fantastic treat for dessert. It got crowdier and hence louder at around 8pm. They were understaffed, leading to longer waiting times and requiring some reminders, though the staff remained friendly throughout!

Wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The food was generally very good. Ordered a rib eye medium rare. It was very lean compared to the fatty style I'm used to in the US. It was also cooked to more medium well. There wasn't much flavor to the meat itself. The sauce really helped.

The argentinian steak was so nice! The service great, I felt comfortable and nicely welcomed. It is really closed to Gare de l'EST, it makes it a good place to eat before grabbing a train.

The restaurant’s team was superb and made us feel comfortable all the time. Food was also very good. The grilled salmon plate came without rice, which they promptly replaced for fries. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Not pretentious, nor fancy, but very good food with large portions with fast friendly service. Has the Argentinian steak, cooked perfectly along with any gratin potatoes which were excellent. Would recommend.

Typical Parisian Bistrot type restaurant with very cool and young waiter. Rupins chicken salad and the planche was great. Our desserts and Cafe Gourmand were excellent. (However, if you do not get a discount deal with The Fork, then prices are rather high, considering it is just a bistro)

My wife and me had a table booked at 2130. After a little waiting, we were seated. Everything ok. Not too much noise and a nice atmosphere. Then we ordered a bottle of white wine that was great. After some time to decide, we ordered two entrants and a main, because we were not hungry and I wanted to have a dessert. Then is when the night went wrong.

Right after the order, the waitress looked at us almost angry, excited, as if we had insulted him. We asked why politely and he said everything was ok. Came back after one minute telling us that we had to order one entrant and one main per person to get TheFork promotion discount. He looked almost rude. We were really confused, as the promotion explicitly indicates that there is no minimum consumption, no obligation to order a starter and a main, or a main and a dessert.

But we are on vacation and our last intention was to discuss in a dinner, and less in a language that we do not control, so we decided to let it go. The rest of the dinner was ok. The food was pretty good, and a good cost-value balance with the 40% promotion. Of course, I didn't had dessert, because I couldn't eat anything else.

In any case, the gesture and the attitude of the waitress when ordering the two entrants and the main one, even if he was right, which was not the case, was excessive and out of place. His face changed radically and ruined the rest of the dinner and our mood. From now on, it'd be good that the restaurant knows the promotions offered, and mainly, teaches the waitress some manners. The dozens of false smiles that came after did not changed the overreaction he had at the begginning of the night.

The bistrot offers good food and with the attractive discount proposed in the fork app, a high ratio of price-performance. The service is also good. Recommend.
