Leuke ambiance. Vriendelijk personeel. Grote of kleine porties mogelijk. Toetje (witte dame) was lekker maar.....jongens.....gebruik geen slagroom uit een spuitbus!!

My apologies for writing in English, I do not feel comfortable enough about my Dutch grammar so I hope you will accept and understand this message as it is.

I must say I was really looking forward to have dinner at this restaurant, my parents came all the way from Spain to stay with me and my boyfriend in Gouda and we had planned a very special dinner with my parents in law (Dutch) at the LF. I was very excited and we came on Saturday September 16th with the 6 of us with our best outfits on and ready to spend a great night together.

Unfortunately, we had disappointment after disappointment. First of all, I ordered chicken and they said it was finished (it was 8 o'clock). Ok then, I ordered a burger and it came half cooked/half raw. Not to mention that the plates took more than two hours (2 HOURS!) to arrive. We were starving, worried and impatient (the atmosphere was dramatically affected by that). Later on, the two desserts my parents wanted were also finished (c'mon! The paying guests!!) My father decided to order something else and my mother was offered another solution without the mango (something very nice they said). The dessert she got was just the same without the fruit, nothing fancy about it and what's worse, we were charged the full amount!!!!!!! Not fair nor appropriate after such a night.

At that point we didn't want to discuss or argue as we were in a family meeting and it was not appropriate to do so. However, I must say in all the years that I have been living in the Netherlands I have never felt worse served and treated. My parents flew back to Barcelona the day after with a bitter taste in their mouths. They wanted to offer a nice dinner to our host family and we most certainly failed. I failed recommending the Lichtfabriek and I will never recommend it again. That's why I am writing this review here.
