10/10We made a last minute booking here and are so glad that we did. The food and the service were superb. We were greeted with a charming amuse bouche and then dined to happy repletion. I would recommend this place most highly. The food is very French both in conception and presentation and it is brought by the person who cooked it. That makes for a genuinely pleasant evening and the place also gets high marks for flexibility in dealing with diners with particular food needs.

9.3/10We enjoyed another delicious meal at Bin 106 with Stephen. This time we all decided to have the Menu du Jour - Moreton Bay Bugs in Brioche, Boeuf Bourguignon with Semolina Gnocchi, and Peach Tarte Tatin. Great value and accompanied by more of Stephen's fascinating stories.

8.8/10This was our second visit to Stephen's lovely restaurant and once again, the food was delightfully presented and delicious. Although not an extensive menu, there were still plenty of tempting dishes that made choosing difficult. The service is impeccable and it is always interesting to hear a little more about Stephen's fascinating experiences.

8/10Great friendly and genuine welcome from Stephen, and creative use of local produce.
196-204 Pitt Street, 4557, Mooloolaba (QLD), Australia
Garden delights Owner and chef Stephen Pulman may have earned his chops in upmarket London nosheries but at his Mooloolaba haunt Le Bistro Jardin the emphasis is on creating a relaxing atmosphere while serving up the freshest local produce. As the name suggests, there is indeed a garden area, and you might just be lucky enough to snaffle a seat under the umbrella or a leafy palm tree. The menu strongly features the French side of Pulman's heritage, with oven-baked eggs, bouillabaisse, and beef bourguignon on offer alongside pumpkin gnocchi and a ginger beef risotto. Where possible, Pulman uses organic produce, and the beef is guaranteed free-range and hormone-, antibiotic- and stress-free. On Saturday nights, Le Bistro Jardin has a value for money set menu with three courses for just $60. As it's BYO, with $2.50 corkage, it's a pretty good night out, and regulars love having a reasonably-priced European-style restaurant nearby serving delicious fare by a chef who used to cater to royalty and celebrities. However, we suspect that one of the biggest drawcards is the eye-popping selection of cakes and pastries. Best dish: Baked salmon in flaky pastry
