The service was good and the waiter explained the menu. The food was mediocre poorly presented and lacking character. The toilets smelt and had run out of paper to dry your hands and the bins had not been emptied. Very poor.

The attention given to us by chef Suzana was beyond any expectation.
This completed an exceptional night of music, in the theater Coliseu just across the street, and gastronomy. The restaurant notwithstanding being in a very touristic area, has a very Portuguese feeling with food prepared by chef Suzana and her team following traditional methods.
We had a superb Pastel de Bacalhau.
The Arroz de Polvo and Bacalhau à Lagareiro were absolutely delicious.
If that was not enough, the prices were correct. Sure to return.

The shrimp and clams were very good, service at this restaurant was excellent. Had the grilled fish dish and everything was salted perfectly. Despite being on the tourist strip - this was a relaxed little gem serving authentic Portuguese food.

A very nice restaurant with local dishes. Cod croquette as a starter and Sea bass/roasted pulp were excellent. Local White wine was a must. The restaurant le easy to find and prices are really reasonable

Good choice, E30 for 2 with 1 bottle of wine. Food was good and service acceptable. Much better than all the restaurants in area with picture menus.

Rather dire atmosphere. Several dishes were not available. Fish was completely overcooked and not eatable. Staff was not interested.

This meal was terrible. We had the seafood cataplana which had three medium shtimp, four mussels, five small shrimp and the worst crab that we've ever had. The meat had to be scraped from the shell and was stringy, tasteless and old. We assumed that it had been cooked the night before as all of the seafood was tired and overcooked, The potatoes were the best part which is sad, considering that the meal was 44E. We left most of it. When we told the server how awful the crab was, she told us that the couple next to us had eaten all of theirs. Perhaps their crab was fresh.
