Pour de bons moments
Great atmosphere, very cool settings in the woods.. peaceful, with welcoming staff, good vibe and very good classic local food. Definitely a great place to enjoy a meal while visiting the region or for locals to discover a place they might have not had the chance to discover before.
Un resto niché dans la verdure
Our second time eating here. Quality food at a reasonable price. Exceptionally friendly service
Excellent le top
Lovely setting in the middle of a forest. Great price-quality, very good dinner menu for 19,50 euros. All the style of a fancy french restaurant (petit boucher, beautiful presentation of the dishes) but with good sized plates, which is a difficult combination to find. Highly recomendable.
Food was excellent, especially the couchon. Service was friendly and prompt, aside with a bit of confusion with the reservation, which was quickly resolved. Will definitely be back!
A really unique setting and beautifully prepared and served food. Somewhat difficult to find so I would recommend getting good instructions on how to find it.
Good food and wine, lovely veg from the garde with tasty confit duck, delicious desserts. Madam very friendly as were all staff, beautiful, quiet location deep in the woods. Found very hard to find with our sat nav,we were half an hour late and about to give up,very worthwhile though, would recommend.
This was our first visit. We have a fabulous time, and the food was the bests we have eaten all Summer. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves excellent food, great service and a lovely rustic setting way out in the countryside away from it all. Will definitely keep the details to come again.
Excellent setting, wonderful food, good quality wine and charming service. One of the best meals we have had in France.
Dinner here was out of this world--from the service to the food everything was perfect. The owner and hostesss was phenomenal (and spoke great English), chatting with us about the history of the restaurant and where the animals live and food grows. We saved this meal for our last night in the valley, which was such a good decision--the food can't compare to anything else we had while in France. It truly is the best farm to table experience and worth the somewhat unexpected drive back in the hills!
We couldn't say enough of the experience; food was fantastic, service excellent and ambience was great. If you only have time for one meal out in Perigord Noir, don't miss this place.
By far this was the best meal of our week in the Dordogne. All four of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers) were delighted by the food, service and entire experience. The restaurant is off the usual tourist trail, but so worth the effort to find it. The restaurant is small so booking is advised. Nothing could be faulted from the moment we walked in. The quality was outstanding and the service was too. The menu was available in English and gave all four of us a great choice. My teenagers loved it "Best duck I've ever had" and my wife found enough to give her a choice avoiding meat. I simply remain suitably impressed wishing we'd have found the restaurant at the start of our stay.
What a beUtiful restaurant, and the food was fabulous!
Let yourself be guided by the patron. The chef's daily suggestions were the best discoveries. The patron also recommended wine (by the glass, so each person would have the best match with each dish) and the choice she made for us was excellent and not pricey. On the down side, the setting and atmosphere is barely satisfying inside (music OK, louder would have been too much, and still one could hear other table's conversations; lighting a bit too intense). Outside must be super by sunny and warmer days!
Lovely people and food both visually and taste. I took my elderly parents and they were very payient and accomodating. Highly recommend.
