Very good, extensive 'rijsttafel' with all original Indonesian dishes. No westernized blends.

A number of people recommend that we make an effort to eat at an Indonesian restaurant while in Amsterdam so we choose Long Pura based on by proximity to our location and the ratings on Trip Adviser. The restaurant is small and cozy and because of it's reputation, reservations are a must for weekends. It was filled to capacity and service was very slow. My wife was very hungry and getting a little annoyed, but when her dish finally arrived, she was delighted and said it was definitely worth the wait...so by that factor along, I'd consider Long Pura to worthy of a 5 star rating.

Followed recommendations online and was not disappointed. We would probably have walked past it without even noticing. The food, service and atmosphere made for a lovely evening. We chose the 25€ pp rice table and there was more food than we could eat. Plenty of bars in this area for a drink too

Our Reistafel was good. There price was acceptable (from 25-45 euro per person). We asked for it to be mild and it was (mostly). The service was professional. Everything was fine. I would return.

Lovely people and an interesting menu. Well presented.
Strangely it wasnt spicy enough for me! Maybe they have tuned down the spice for tourists.
The satay sauce had a bit too much dark soy in it for me. But I am a bit overly into satay so can be a bit too critical.
It was a super meal and we really enjoyed it. A must do when you are in Amsterdam

Great standard of food overall, and good (not great) service - with a long wait between entrees and mains. Staff very pleasant and a relaxed pseudo-authentic 'Indonesian' atmosphere. An enjoyable dinner and would recommend it to friends and family.

Lovely indonesian dinner in Amsterdam. We choose the smallest Rijsttafel - one course of 9-10 dishes! It was varied and delicious. I was quite pleased to be able to have my dinner guest discover this type of food in such a charming, warm setting. The house wine, described as going well with asian food, did indeed accompany the meal well.
