5.5/10We took the Bilbao menu to taste local food. First plate Russian salad (!). Most of the plates were deep fried and very heavy. On top of that we honestly did not taste anything we hadn’t before. We had bigger expectations that were bit even partly met .

10/10A very nice spot in the old town, apparently the oldest restaurant in Bilbao, with a very traditional charm and a seamless preparation of traditional cuisine. The stag was very nice and sommelier passionately and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend

10/10I went with 2 girlfriends, and we went because it was Michelin rated. We ordered the 8 course tasting menu and it was wonderful. The bottom level is very small and the noise level is high. The seating was tight but we checked in one hour early and they acknowledged our reservation and sat us immediately. We felt very fortunate to get in and if you want to go, you'd better make reservations at least a week in advance. Otherwise, be flexible.

10/10OMG- this restaurant delivered over and above. The menu ‘Mari Jaia’ was incredible and exceeded all expectations. It illustrated the absolute beauty of taste in pure local food ingredients. The service and attention of staff was first rate and chef/manager should be proud of what the restaurant offers. The regular Michelin listings are not enough to recognise the quality of the experience here.

10/10I booked this place for my early b-day lunch, before leaving home. The food was amazing - delicious, perfectly served and paired with a great wine. And the price of the lunch was really moderate. I would say this restaurant is a must!

10/10Rarely do you experience a restaurant where every dish served is stunning: this is one such place. We absolutely adored every aspect of our visit: the food, the ambience and the wonderful service. From the prawn bloody mary to the grilled prawns to the beetroot carpaccio to the dressed tonnato lettuce hearts to the end, we ate like there was no tomorrow. Maybe there won’t be. This place is divine and well worth a detour
